Honestly I get what they were going for with "File Not Found" but man... they really could have done with leaning into the "mysterious drifter" origin angle intead.

Just imagine if Bathesda had actually created a unique prologue intro for each Background. Not only would we have not gotten nearly as many complaints about how it doesn't really matter which Background you choose in this game, but it would fit with the whole multiverse theme as well (each Background representing a different universe, or set of universes, where taking that specific job allowed you to find/touch the first Artifact).

Just a small feedback and criticism, but man, what is the point in always keeping the second sentence that is exactly the same every time? It gets so grating to hear.

What I hate about RPGs like this is how it's supposed to be a "be anything you want" type of game. But then they force you to be Duke Nukem really early on in the story. In Fallout New Vegas, the first thing you do in the main story is charge into a town of Powder Gangers because you're too impatient to wait for reinforcements. In this game, you're reaction to getting chased by pirates is to land on their home base and killer their leader. Only a thoroughly grizzled badass would ever think to do that. So it feels wrong to pick anything but "Soldier."
