Boruto can unlock the jougan because he has Hamura chakra and Hagoromo chakra from Naruto and Hinata. After his parents had him the chakra from Hagoromo and Hamura form the jougan and Boruto does use Hagoromo chakra and Hamura chakra he unlock the chakra of Kaguya, the jougan.

Well, it's true himawari doesn't do anything but this chapter might be linked with something that will happen with himawari in future, for example "uzuhiko" might mean uzu= Uzumaki and hi= himawari, ko might refer to konoha or maybe k=kawaki and o= otsutsuki. Boruto probably named the jutsu based on the names of those who are important to him. I don't think otsutsukis are important, but since momoshiki is likely still inside boruto, boruto might have decided to make him a family and a friend just like how Naruto did with kurama. I think Code's defeat and himawari being shown in the pront page has a deep hidden meaning to it. It's probably a secret message from kishimoto and ikemoto to us readers. Maybe it means both boruto and kawaki underestimated Code too much by giving him the chance to live for more minutes by ignoring him. Maybe this is the last time Code will ever be humiliated by kawaki or boruto and the only person who will be able to stand in code's way is someone who we'll never expect, it's neither Daemon nor eida but it's the person shown in this chapters front page "HIMAWARI". She definitely looks insignificant right now, but let's not judge her yet. I bet she inherited more of the otsutsukis and hyuga's blood than boruto. Daemon felt a dangerous presence inside himawari, and that presence might be good, and it might be evil too. If it's something evil like shibai or something we've never seen before, then I'm sad to say that himawari will also be included in kawaki's black list, and that's going to be a terrible idea for kawaki because boruto will finally unleash his wrath on kawaki. I also noticed that boruto was very quiet and observant when kawaki used his daikokuten eye to shrink Code's claw marks. To be fair it's never been simply a "manga about ninjas", that was moreso a world building/vibe choice than a literal one. it's always been a show about magic energy from your body turning into magical blasts of various sorts, don't think about it too hard. You know, I have a question about Otsutsuki. I get it why they are call CLAN, not a RACE. Simply because you can BECOME an Otsutsuki. You're not necesserily born this way. What bothers me is that Momoshiki and Urashiki could've sort of "mutate" their bodies(?). I mean, Momo grew some blackmarks on his sexy-ass pure Otsutsuki body. His horns became longer, body got buffed up, after he ate Kinshiki as a chakra manifestation. Urashiki grew one of the lamest transformations ever in my opinion, but he grew those freak-ass wing? Horns? Owl fetish? I dunno, but I hope you get the point. Isshiki didn't have any "body mutations" as far as he was shown. Only Jigen mutated the horn, but he wasn't pure Otsutsuki yet. Still in his human body too weak to bear his power. I don't mean Toneri (Kinda weird that his name isn't ending with some "iki", but I don't mind that actualy), or Kinshiki 'cause they weren't fighting to their bottom of reserves and resolve. Could it be cause Isshiki had ocular jutsus? Momo, who had byakugan and rinnegan hands, and the others got byakugan from the starting point so I don't think it's a thing. Anybody else thoght about those things?

If you don't like Boruto, I can understand. I fucking hated Naruto during its OG run. As a teen I felt like the whole story revolved a bit too much around Sasuke and genius level ninja. Boruto is refreshing for someone like me, all the ninjas are kinda strong in the their own way and Boruto is strong, naturally and creatively instead of the typical Shonen Anger power up that Naruto relied on a bit too much for my liking. This go around, with Sasuke training Boruto and being his teacher and Naruto's head strength it gives a nice change of pace.

Why do people always say that the Jougan is related to Toneri and Shibai? It's seriously so bad that they're using anime filler on top of it and treating it as a canon reference yet go nuts when someone mentions Uzumaki Clan is the one and the same clan as Toneri's clan. All because of a retconned timeline (Rikudou Sennin Pain Arc vs twin Yin and Yang Alliance War Arc) and a mistranslation from an unofficial translation scan stating "distant cousins" which doesn't negate the fact that Hagoromo's children's lineages (Uchiha and Senju) would be distant cousins to Hamura's children's lineages (Hyuga and Uzumaki). Same goes for Jougan feats. We still don't see any of it outside of the filler anime and yet they're claiming all of these things about it. At this point, it doesn't exist outside of anime" So unless you guys are clarifying that you are simply doing anime, then go ahead. But it kind of messes things up when the fanbase is split to manga only (because the anime is so far ahead of the manga that it just won't stop making stuff up).

Jougan is in the manga, just not inside boruto, also if they are giving boruto such powerful dojutsu in the anime no shit they are gonna add it later to the manga

jougan is not in the manga.. wtf are you on about. Nowhere in the manga has stated anything different about his eyes. No, his cut eye is not a Jougan since that's just a regular Byakugan. Momoshiki's eye. Anime fillers are fillers. Theyre an adaptation. Not a source material. Neither Kishimoto nor Kodachi are writing for the anime.
