Rickie Ricardo is the GOAT and I don't even speak Spanish. His call gets me emotional and I don't even know what he's saying.

That’s why Rickie is being looked at to take over for John Sterling! He is so good!

@@MarcusB-qr1hk He filled in for Sterling a few years back, and I was absolutely shocked. He speaks all but perfect English. I was expecting an accent. He was great. HIs call here in this video is the best out of them all. I'm a born and raised American, and all the English/American Broadcasts sound like someone broadcasting a chess match compared to how animated the rest are.

"Soto hits it high and deep to center field, Thomas is back at the wall...FORGET ABOUT IT..THAT ONE IS GOING GOING GONE...ITS GONE...SOTO HITS IT OUT....JUAN SOTO TO CENTER FIELD..PUT SOME SEASONING ON IT, THATS A HOME RUN (this rhymed in spanish)...Juan soto with all the flavor hitS it out to center field...Its Sotomatic (play on automatic) and he possibly sends them to the World series.Juan Soto WOW its 5-2"

2:00 Translation from the Spanish: "Soto's seeing Gaddis's entire pitch repertoire here....And again, here's the 1-2 pitch...Soto swings....it's hit high, and deep to center! Going back is Thomas, to the wall...It's going, it's going....And it's gone! It's gone! Juan Soto to center field! He may have put the Yankees into the World Series!"

It’s a wonderfully clever use of old school Broadway. It made me burst out laughing the first time I heard it. “S’wonderful” is by George and Ira Gershwin. It’s best known from “An American in Paris.” Just because you don’t understand the reference doesn’t make it bad. 🙄
