That’s what I’m saying! When you understand why he doesn’t get all choked up around her like before when they were younger you start to really ship them. Especially when you realize that he actually never makes it as a Soldier and Tifa showed that she still would’ve loved him with the title or not. That’s why I don’t understand the whole Cloud X Aerith ship. Cloud felt like a loser for not making it and hid from Tifa in Crisis Core but she still loved him for not making it. That’s a real one. He doesn’t remember much of Tifa because of the Mako Poisoning When I started to understand everything I couldn’t ship Cloud with Aerith anymore. No matter how cool and good looking Aerith is. Cloud and Tifa’s past is just too deep for me to do that lol

In that one scene with the whole Johnny fiasco Tifa really feels like a worried girlfriend who’s noticing her lover has drastically changed, while Cloud’s the nonchalant boyfriend that reassures his girl that nothing’s wrong and it’s all in her head 💀

Not saying that to bash Cloud though, I understand it’s not his fault either. But I’m just saying that’s what their relationship feels like in this first part of the game.

I love the remake, because there are many stories which express the feelings of Cloud and Tifa, besides they have many skinship part, there also how Cloud sacrifice alot for getting Tifa's back from Don Corneo, he dances with Andy/Andrea on the stage and pretend being hot women to attract Don Corneo :v
