Facts. Anything you do in the game can interrupt them. Opening the map, swinging casually, and then a crime pops up. That's why whenever mine came up, I just sat there or swung in one area. Once they're interrupted, you can't go back and listen to them either.

Haha, right you two? I kept thinking "What's this *we* business?" when she said that. And for that matter, some of the events of the game really makes another issue I've had all the more glaring with the question....where IS everyone? Like not civilians, but the other superheroes (at least ones we canonically know exist at this point). We know the Avengers exist in this world. We know the Fantastic Four exist (though to be fair, maybe they aren't the FF yet). That upcoming Wolverine game is set in this universe, so mutants and by extension the X-Men exist. We know Dr. Strange exists. Daredevil exists in this universe, as does Iron Fist and Jessica Jones. And those are just the ones who have been specifically name dropped or referenced somehow. Where the ****** is everyone? Why *are* the two Spider-Men the only heroes out there helping? Heck, I would be legit ecstatic just to get little references to other hero activity. Maybe we can assume they are, but it's just weird like the Danikast specifically only credits the Spider-Men as being heroes involved in stopping the invasion.

Right? And to be fair...where are the other superpowered people besides the Spider-Men? I had this same question in the first game, particularly during Mister Negative's bombing attack at the conference. I can understand letting a superhero deal with a supervillain they frequently fight...but something like that? But here during the whole invasion arc in this game, it was even more a wonder. We never hear of anyone besides Peter and Miles helping. Like even (maybe especially) if they are, it's odd there's not a single mention.

Danika is basically the more positive version of JJJ. whenever there’s someone new threat or problems going around city JJJ just blames everything on Spider-Man he talking about him needing to arrested or that he stages all these acts with criminals for fame and I hate that. Danika actually respects spider-mans heroic deeds and doesn’t care if he’s a “vigilante” as Spider-Man has saved New York from terrorist and cultist numerous times But JJJ won’t stop. always trying to debunk Spider-Man as a menace lying about the fact Spider-Man does this for attention and fame always saying Spider-Man should be put in a jail cell it just pisses me off. This is why Danika is my favorite character in the insomniac universe as now matter if Spider-Man is a vigilante she will always view him as New York city’s greatest hero and protector.

The fact that just about wverything she talks about is immediately related to what the spiderman’s circle of interest makes it seem like nothing else matters. In the Arkham games the side chatter would often be about whatever Batman just did, but also unrelated things in the city. And they wouldn’t mention things that they couldn’t have possibly seen.
