This absolved him of his previous sins, especially of cheating death, allowing him the rare chance of accessing Heaven again. Yeah that was my favorite part too when Charlie gave his life to save the Anne Marie. That was some good 😌 character development. Cause I know in the beginning was kinda a self centered jerk, no better than Carface after exploiting the poor girl as well for his new casino. He also cares about his friends, like for instance feeding Flo and her pups. And I liked how the croc ate Carface, it was krama for his actions.

His quote there uses "narrow paths" and "wide paths" metaphors which point out there are many ways to do evil, while a fairly narrow way to be righteous.

Too many people think you can only be one type of person to go to heaven, when God created us as individuals. His relationship is different for each of us because we all have a unique perspective of the world. Only he knows us absolutely, no human can match that. Every evil has a natural consequence. It may be easier but it makes your life miserable in many ways. Being a good person can be hard, but it actually makes life easier.

I can kinda see why because without that, Charlie just spends the movie being an ass for no reason. He didn't like the sound of heaven in the first film, and while he accepted it in the end, it proved to be everything he feared. A goody goody retirement home where thrills are forbidden. He's in no rush to save heaven because he thinks dogs would actually be better off without it. I could argue the lack of this greyness between Charlie and Annabelle is what led to Charlie just coming off like a selfish petulant jerk who always needed to learn a lesson in the TV series. Only the last episode really went back to it, if in a rather cute way that led to character development between them.

He is the Savior, after all. As for Gabriel, he's actually one of the archangels, the greatest and most powerful angels of all. I think that's why you can't see him. What's funny is that he's actually known to have and play a horn in Christianity.

Causes of death for the other dogs after fluffy were, dog 2: electrocution via vacuum cleaner cord, dog 3: strangled by the mailman's mailbag strap, dog 4: he was chasing a car bit the bumper and died when either another car hit em from behind or the exhaust fumes got to him and itchy's death choked on a chicken bone. So I'm guessing at this point that fluffy died of a natural cause not sure what though.

I always found it weird that Charlie and Carface would chat like they were old friends, when they were supposed to be deadly enemies in the first movie, but hey, they're dead now, there's nothing to do anymore. The explanation I see possible for Itchy getting to heaven in 1996, maybe sometime after 1939, Itchy's soul got stuck in a purgatory, and it took him several years to get to heaven in 1939.

They really softened Carface for some reason. He went from a real bad MF to a minion basically (though I do find it funny that they have to play nice in heaven since no dogs go to hell apparently)
