Man I remember when I discovered just how broken Burter is in this game due to the potential for infinite combos. He punches faster than anyone in the game, and even though it doesn't do alot of damage, you can drain someone's health rather quickly if you trap them in a combo.

Doesn't work because you can perfect block a combo while still being hit. So the enemy would just block a certain hit anyway if you don't do mix ups

This teknaichi was obviously inferior to their secuels, but got some things right that didn't show on tk2 and 3: the background levels were more sofisticated. The Time Chamber has like a fog effect, the dusty mountains have a better distribution of mountains, and the forest areas look overall better and some graphic details such as dust and rocks that fly up when you charge ki. Those things are slight details that got like soothed down in their secuels.

I like how everyone had either “Full power energy blast volley” or “high speed rush” as one of their super attacks. And half of their Ultimate attacks was a “Super Kamehameha”. Just find that funny how limited they were with the first title of the Tenkaichi series. Also Trunks saying Finish Buster in Japanese when using the English dub is just a funny little bug they kept in.

It's interesting to me, how certain supers and ultimates changed in the Budokai Tenkaichi series.

You had like 90 characters & forms to play with and all...Okay sure, the game does has its flaws, pretty much every game ever made has as least 1 flaw somewhere or another (no offense to anyone who loves certain games of course.) I mean, I loved this game a lot, especially the intro...and if you ask me, they were just getting started when they released Tenkaichi 1, afterwards (and this is my opinion) they got better and better and well...hopefully you'll get the idea. (Again, no offense)

ZachTheSuperSaiyan RBLX This isn't in the worst category. It was the first Tenkaichi game, I put it over BT2 imo. BT2 had a great story mode and a bit of a combo change. But this was the start of it. I would give this an 8/10 just for being the first game that introduced a whole lot of new features and at the time the cast of characters were awesome and big in the 2000s eras before BT2 and BT3 came out.

I figured, but I can see how they were trying their best. But just because something came first doesn't mean that it's great. I can tell that they were half-new to the whole 3D fighting thing, but I have to give credit to the fact that it's way better than DBZ Sagas, which was a lot worse than this game. They improved a little bit, but not enough to be that interesting. I only played this game twice, and I got it for my birthday two years ago. Thank God I got Budokai 2 with it :|

0:45 Goku SS1 High-Speed Rush Vs 1:21 Goku SS2 High-Speed Rush... exactly lol. Tenkaichi 2 and 3 really fleshed out move-sets and made characters fun to play as. Tenkaichi 3 has a ot more moves than people realize that weren't in Tenkaichi 2, but Tenkaichi 2 added probably 50 at least since everything in BT1 is reused generic high-speed rushes and energy volleys. Edit: Oh, I'm sorry... there *IS* a slight difference. SS1 Goku finishes it off with a double axe-handle to the back, while SS2 Goku does a one hand chop... huge difference right there, lol

Despite all the DBZ games that have come out over the years, BT1 has the most badass and authentic Intro of all of DBZ games of the Franchise. BT2 and BT3 in my opinion still remains the most Unique and the best DBZ games in terms of content, quality and fanservices. And from the gameplay perspective aspects, these DBZ games that I mentioned are very close to the anime itself because of the Vibe and Charm, I don't know how to describe it but it was, and still is the most Unique DBZ experience you could have with the combat factor. (- Sheer amount de of characters - Transformations mid-battle (powering up and down) - Fusions mid-battle - Fast gameplay that has that "woah" feel - Tons of extra content - Story mode covering all sagas + movies - What If sagas - Shenron having permanent impact on game (character unlocks and whatnot) - Great tournaments that rotate availability - Edit characters with items (buffs) - 5v5 battles - Really Great and Epic Soundtracks - Destroyable environments - Entire stages could be blown up into their "destroyed" alternatives - Mission 100 being a great challenge - Artwork is 10/10 - Sound effects are great - Combat feels heavy and satisfying) Only Budokai 3, Infinite World and the Raging Blast 1 and 2 are still considered also very solid DBZ games, also the hidden gem that a lot of DBZ fans missed from PS2 Era of DBZ games is "Super Dragon Ball Z" which is also a real Unique and DBZ game, especially for the different gameplay aspects perspective. ✌☯️

Roshi have two Original Kamehameha. I also thought the Super one meant to be a regular Kamehameha while the Ultimate is Original Kamehameha. Like Hercule also have Hercule Ultra Dynamic Punch two but are meant to be different rushes.

Dumb question: Why do many of the older Dragon Ball Z games (like this one) have Cell's 1st form voice even when he's Semi-Perfect Cell, Perfect Cell & Super Perfect Cell?

On Budokai it's because transformations don't have any voice changes. Japanese Cell doesn't change throughout his forms like English does. Tenkaichi it's the same thing. In Japan they copy his voices over into the voice slots for his other forms. They could have done it proper for English but didn't. RB2 is the first game to have all his own things for every form.

I always hated how SS2, SS3 & SS4 Goku had the kamehameha as a ultimate move (and had that crappy multi blast attack) while SS1 had it as normal move without needing to max out your energy
