Thanks, I can see my Bolt in your Spark. Like you we charge from our own paid off PV and haven't bought electricity for our EV's in over seven years. Our house now uses mini splits in the winter for heat so we do have an electric bill in the winter but not all spring and summer. Also, what a lot of people don't realize is that there's a tremendous burden extracting, producing, transporting and protecting oil interests - oil doesn't miraculously get to the pump! We live in rural America, the Catskills of NY and even here we get enough sun to charge our EV. (We're also retired.)

So cool!!!!!At the moment, I am doing my research, and I have seen nothing that would deter me from buying an electric. I think Chevy should revive the Spark in a n ev line, to slightly compete with the Chevy Ev Bolt.

There is a greater chance that rural people, like me, have much more room for ground mount solar panels... which are quite inexpensive now.

I spent $6000 for a 2014 Spark EV back in 2017. Nobody wanted them. In some ways, I wish it was still around. Quite the gateway drug...

Mine also only takes 12 seconds. I plug in and out faster. Lol ha ha ha

Chevy has now officially discontinued support for the battery, so unfortunately it will be a brick as soon as the battery dies unless you are smart enough to build a battery. There are no aftermarket batteries. I certainly wouldn't mind having one for buzzing around town. It's almost as cheap as a golf cart!

The Chevy dealer right down the street from me has one on their lot for $16,275. I thought of buying it, but changed my mind once I found out this fact.

I imagine GM spent millions of dollars bringing the Spark EV to market, only to discontinue it a relatively short time later. They should’ve kept this car in production and marketed it as not only a clean-air city car or second car, but equally important as a low-cost entryway model for those people purchasing their first electric vehicle. One of the chief complaints you hear today is that electric vehicles are too expensive. This is where the Spark EV could have addressed this problem. By now, the cost of developing the Spark EV could’ve been recouped, making it a profitable little car for Chevrolet. Right now, with electric vehicles still too expensive for many people considering them, the Spark EV is the right vehicle for today.
