First I wasn't very interested in Final Fantasy 7. Never played the OG. But then I asked myself why the hype of this game is so big, so I started playing the Remake and now... I LOVE IT. Finished the Remake and played Rebirth right after it! Can't wait for Part 3

This game is already massive. Can't wait to play this. I hope when i get the ps5 going to play the first part again, hopefully will work so i can get the bonus for the upcoming Rebirth. And its funny how Yuffie is a wuss when something big happens. I can't wait to see how open world this is going to be. Also was that Terra in the theater part in the play?

The main one that I've seen was saying that the 2 realities merge, cloud dies instead of aerith, and alternate reality Zack takes over the story in his stead.

I am getting more and more confusing. So they called it FF7 remake It's not really the remake of FF7 BY referring back the whole original story BUT instead it's a fixed version with "time travel" and changing future as concepts? So the new one is going to be "changing the past"? .....I don't know what to think about this. Is it a good thing or bad? Old one teaches us to cherish those who's still around us and carry the pain from the one we lost within us to move forward and get strong. The new one is this. Well, for SE, they probably just thinking about which one 'd make more money anyway~there's no need to think too deep for them.

Well it looks to me like it's two different universes playing at once. You got the original story of the main group leaving an intact Midgar while Zack and Cloud enters a ruined Midgar, which looks to be like a different universe. In the trailer Sephiroth is confused as to why Tifa is still alive despite he knew he killed her, in the original he just wounded her badly. Sephiroth and Aerith is aware that something has changed despite the main group is just going along as nothing has happened. They're aware of the Whisperers but at the same time they're still on the original timeline. I think destroying the Whisperers caused a rift in time where other actions have been taken such as Sephiroth actually killing Tifa and Zack surving the SOLDIER attack.

I agree. The original had an amazing plot, not to complicated but the stakes were high especially in the 3rd disc. Corporate scum city destroying the planet but as we progress psychotic Ancient summoning meteor materia to wipe out planet so he can get in the life stream wound and become a Demi god. Sephiroth was a tragic villain with his own convictions. This version since the end of disc one is getting convoluted. Just stick to the OG and this game would bring in 5x the sales.
