The only clue I can offer is that on arkrec it says that the category is “event ops”, so maybe because the main story ops and savage count as rewards unassociated with a normal event it doesn’t count under that category? Also, thank you so much for all of your videos. Yours and YesTerry’s videos have inspired me to build my welfare ops (although I’ve only raised a few of them so far). I hope that in the future I can also use them to complete stages as creatively as you do. Thanks again!

@@VistilShaiteth Sorry, I was under the impression that Conviction came attached with an event of sorts, but I can’t remember exactly. At least for CN, according to GamePress, they said “When CN players logged on, they found a new story event with a QR code that took them to the HG website, and they were rewarded with new Operator Conviction.” Maybe that’s the difference? I’m not sure.

It's really interesting for you to do this niche. Welfare operators are pretty strong solely cus you can get them to Pot 6 that easily. You don't even need to waste orundums and tickets in banners. It is still a shame that Hibiscus alter is not a welfare

There's a bit of a catch to the getting to Pot 6 easily though, as they generally have nerfed Potentials compared to normal 5* Gacha Ops (the two 6* are not nerfed), in fact Most Welfare Operators have an increased Base DP Costs that is compensated by having an extra DP reduction on their pots, And there's the other point that, with some exceptions, Pots only have a really Minor effect in Arknights in the first place, unlike some other Gacha games.

As someone who m6 Folinic. I would like to point out that Folinic S1M3 increase her range to 6 tiles length wise. Quite a few times it opens up some strats for ultra long range healing.

It's good to have guide-style videos from nicheknights content creators. Not all of the guide videos should be monopolized by the same three or four content creators. After all, you are the experts for each of your niches. So, thanks a lot for the video! Anyway, I was curious about your analysis on Sideroca - I was looking to build her and wanted some advice on the investment. You consider her to have mediocre damage and be mostly used for her survivability, correct? Something like an arts version of Matoimaru? I was interested in her, since pure HP tanks are pretty rare. If she is that niche, I will probably have to think twice (Only useful against Mandragora, a character currently MIA??).

A friend of mine uses Sideroca, and I've heard the explanation that Maitomaru's niche of enduring caster shots and healing them off while having the physical atk to break through is a more effective one that Sideroca's niche of enduring damage in general and retaliating with arts... Mostly because Maitomaru at S1 has enough atk as a dreadnought guard to still slowly tear into casters who on average have lower def. Even though many enemies, especially in early game, don't have that much Res, Sideroca really doesn't stand out in her role than Mousse does, since Mousse will also stall with the atk debuff compared to Sideroca enduring their shots. Sideroca losing all her range with S2 kind of hurts her, it makes her an arts Grani without the 2 block. And as Vulcan lover it really hurts when a unit loses range without all that many benefits. If you have used Maitomaru, honestly Maitomaru's respawn module works wonders with her role. Yes, she's less good at that role the moment she respawns, but she also just respawned and will continue to delay whatever enemy she's tied up against. Sideroca will need a similar module, though if Mousse also gets it then RIP Sideroca as Mousse's stalling will be effective at lower cost. Otherwise, according to that friend, Sideroca's damage isn't all that bad, but for transparency's sake he hasn't gotten Guardmiya yet. If you want an Arts Guard that isn't ridiculously broken, I'd recommend Astesia, or Mousse if stalling is more interesting to you. Mousse is cheaper than Sideroca and has a very similar role if she isn't supported by other allies. If she is, the atk debuff will count for quite a bit against bosses. Sideroca may be a lot less efficient but the HP tank niche is indeed rare

Don't forget, in maps with invisible, scene S1 can be great to place perma invisi spot on certain locations. S2 is usually better. Like all summoners, how great she is depends on how big brain you are.

Your Heidi is completely maxed. We're not worthy lol. Thank you for this vid! I started the game right before Absinthe launched, and she was my best caster for a long time, still is the last line of defense when I replay CC4's map. Bibeak, Tequila, honestly Ceylon and her gimmick of thawing musha units, Folinic because S2 at the right time is hilarious, Snowsant (S2 for AOE grab), Mint, Robin, Heavyrain, and Heidi are among my favorite units in this game.

Likely an iq issue. Some ops need tactical judgment. Easy ops place and forget. They do aoe damage, no need to micro them. Utage s1, kazemaru, nukersz dreadnoughts all need goos placement judgment

Okay, this really feels weird to disallow Amiya/Heidi and shop operators. I can guess why Texas/Cliffheat may be banned - potentials can't be obtained outside gatcha, so it might invalidate some accounts, but for amiya/Heidi/Honeyberry/Ethan/Breeze/Pudding, all accounts are on equal standing - just need some grind

My account is only 2 month old and I REALLY lack a laneholder (no AOE guard except Popukar, no ranged guard except Midnight), so I raise Flamebringer and he is really solid, people shitting on him cuz the operator they consider good is the likes of Blaze, Thorn, Mudrock, and Mountain to the point of shitting on any laneholder weaker than them. Currently on chapter 6, still figuring out how to deal with those katana guy safely

@@hartoramasenju4012 Deal with the frozen status then, like using Lumen. Or, stun or freeze them back. Shift also works. Like FEater's push with slow. Or maybe put Gravel to tank them for a while. Therapist medic also can help with freeze. Nightmare's attack down also help. Binding the samurai with Gladiia or Rosa's s3 also works. 8s bind is no joke.

8:16 That's because kokokbeluk is not using Pallas. She is good if paired with Pallas. Either of Pallas modules works fine. I say Sideroca is worth it if you're playing Pallas. 10:27 Scene with her skill 2 active, have her summon hits like a sinngle Melantha. She is definitely worth raising due to her summon damage, and how her summon is enough to kill annoying foes. The reveal hidden foes also come in handy. 10:53 Tomimi, one build theirr squad with her in mind. Not the other way round. And definitely need her module if playing Tomimi.

So you would need to build several operators to be able to reach the end of Chapter 8. :D

It seems the Chinese word for "welfare" is specifically "event reward", hence specifically only allowing operators from event shop, cc shop, login events, or IS. However, Heidi and Dagda are both actually in the category, but Amiya isn't, for whatever reason.

Oh actually. Hm. Arkrec wiki claims to be following the PRTS wiki's guideline. however, Arkrec wiki includes in their welfare category Heidi and Dagda. PRTS does not. Neither of them include Savage in their welfare category either for whatever reason. she is firmly in PRTS's "Other" category even though one would think she counts as a login event.

Question for flamebringer module: Since it now activates when an enemy dies in the surrounding 4 tiles, does it no longer proc if an enemy dies on the tile that flamebringer is deployed on?
