Several artists have recorded this song. It was first recorded by Little Willie John, then later by Peggy Lee. Ray probably had a version somewhere in his catalogue. I’ve not heard his version. The first version I remember hearing was Elvis Presley’s 1960 cover, which he later revisited in the 1973 concert special Aloha from Hawaii. Great song.

LeAnn can't sing r&b/soul, but she CAN sing gospel and every other genre. she is a vocal powerhouse and my first beloved country musician/vocalist that i was like "i wanna hear this person sing!" ive not regretted that decision, even with her slight controversy.

However the one that is considered the most sensual and is the one considered the best rendition is Patsy Keline they give props to elvis for his rendition... There is a Elvis performance of fever at the Aloha concert. However, the studio version is much times better. Leanne Rymes is great!
