LeAnn's voice is definitely unmatched. I totally agree that she has a God given talent. LeAnn, took quite a bit of time off for personal reasons but she has always been underrated for some reason. She started singing when she was 12 years old. She is also my favorite singer and is a powerhouse singer but a soft singer as well. She deserves all the accolades she has received and more.

You are spot on. LeAnn Rimes vocals are unmatched. Please react to her performance as "THE SUN" on "THE MASKED SINGER" of Billie Eilish's "WHEN THE PARTY's OVER" - it is absolutely Stunning. I can understand why she did this show, so people could judge her for her vocal work and not for her social media exposure. Her version of "HOW DO I LIVE" from the motion picture "CON AIR" was replaced with Trisha Yearwood's version as they wanted a more mature sound. Diane Warren wrote the song for LeAnn Rimes who was only 14 years old when she recorded it. Both Trisha and LeAnn Rimes released their singles on the same day. It was also the only time in Grammy History that both singers were nominated in the same category for the same song. The Grammys elected to have LeAnn perform her version on the Awards show and then right after her performance the presented the Grammy to Trisha Yearwood. And as a footnote LeAnn's Version spent a record-breaking 69 weeks on the chart, peaking at number two, spending 25 weeks in the Top Five. It has since become the chart’s fifth biggest hit of all time. And in case you were wondering according to Billboard back in the day the five biggest hits on their chart were: 1. The Twist, Chubby Checker 2. Smooth, Santana Feat. Rob Thomas. 3. Mack the Knife, Bobby Darin. 4. Uptown Funk!, Mark Ronson Feat. Bruno Mars 5. How Do I Live, Leann Rimes. Her catalogue in extensive. and I hope you react to her more. She is highly underrated. Thanks you for including her in your reactions.

She was a really big name back in the day and on every radio station. Sadly, the public turned on her when it came out that she had an affair with a married man. There’s a lot more to the story, but the two of them fell in love and got married. And now she’s even friends with his ex wife. But she was sort of blacklisted for a long time and people thought of the affair when they heard her name instead of her singing.
@bluewheels39809 ай бұрын
Dolly Parton also did a wonderful cover of this song that is really worth a listen. To answer your question LeAnn Rimes was huge between 1996 when she was 12 and 13 years old and roughly 2011. In fact she sued both her father and her record company in 2001 for mismanagement of funds. Her dad had embezzled a large amount of money from her. He had access to the funds because she was a minor at the time, plus he was acting as her record producer. After the lawsuit, she signed a new, more equitable record deal, and her father was no longer involved in her career. in 1997, when she was 14, she and Trisha Yearwood had competing versions of the same song released at the same time. Collectively, Leann's version of how do I live sold about 10 million copies, and Trisha Yearwood's version sold around 3 million copies they were both nominated for a Grammy in 1998. Leann got to perform the song live on the Grammy stage but Trisha Yearwood walked away with a Grammy win I would love to see a reactor compare both versions back to back and to see who did it better after leaving curb Warner Brothers in 2013 Leanne signed a record deal with Sony UK on which the song you just reacted to was recorded but unfortunately that album went nowhere and she was let go from Sony. Of early LeAnn Rimes my two favorite songs are the light in your eyes and commitment of adult Leanne my favorite song is I can't be myself when I'm with you

LeAnn has been in the business her whole life. Started singing at 2, was well known in the industry by 8. As a teen she released a number 1 hit (Blue) and it won 2 Grammys. Then her parents went through a bad divorce that was very public and she sued her father for 7 mil that he had taken from her. Then around 2010 or so her and her current husband had an affair followed by a nasty divorce. She ended up going half insane and checked herself in a hospital. Since that she has mostly decided to focus on her family (Husband and step kids) and her mental health.

Agree with you 1,000% about her vocals and her being underrated. If you look more into her story I think you find out she went through some things tied to the very young age at which she began and the control of her career by her father. I know there were legal battles and she tried to take her career in different directions. I also think she decided to take herself out of the limelight for awhile.
@kevincarpenter25259 ай бұрын
LeAnn is indeed underrated. She's an amazing vocalist and great live performer. Her music and aspirations haven't always fit neatly into the Country Genre. She had some crossover success in the US and even more in Europe. She released a more pop album exclusively in Europe. She has also received a bit of backlash from Country Music Fans for a very public extramarital affair. Women in Country pay dearly for their indiscretions. Blake Shelton (two affairs) and Jason Aldean have done the same but the standard is different for men.

LeAnn's career was almost destroyed during a major love scandal she was involved with some years back but recently she has been contracted as a Coach and Mentor on the Voice TV show in Australia and now in England. I think she was also on the Voice in the USA. One of the things that upset her a bit that when on the Voice, is nobody really knew or remembered her from her early days as many of the contestants were either too young or not even born when she released "Can't fight the moonlight" that was famous in Coyote Ugly movie where she made a Cameo appearance. She was one of the many artists in their career who switched from Country to Mainstream Pop music hence you probably haven't heard Country Music from her in a while.

If you’d like to hear the original The Story, Brandi Carlyle sang it first and is she so good!!! It’s more blues/rock and she does a good version on SNL. Her performance of The Joke at the Grammys brought the house down and she won the Grammy for it. She’s a singer songwriter who has a unique voice. I just love LeAnn! ❤ I was watching the Grammys when she was just 14 (?) and sang HOW DO I LIVE on stafe. Then Trisha Yearwood, who sang the same song and both were nominated for best vocal, was announced as the winner of that category as LeAnn was leaving the stage. I thought that was dirty and I was really upset that they did that to her. I always hated Trisha for that, too. I realize that it was probably not at fault for all that but how that all went down was really bad. I don't think I've watched the Grammys since then. I might have felt different if they had at least let her get off the stage first but they did it so creepy that it made it memorable, for bad memories, that is. Anyhoo, I've loved her and her voice since the beginning of her career. I'm glad that she's still around! ❤ Love that you love her voice! 😂❤

This song is probably one of the best songs ever written, and it was written by Brandi Carlile. Yet this song wasn’t written for her she sang this song on season four of the masked singer and said it was sung because of her bond she has with her husband Eddie Cibrian. And I agree she probably has the best not only country voice, but she also does crossover. If you listen to any of the songs on the voice, you will see what I’m talking about amazing plus she is the youngest person ever to win a Grammy at age 14 for her song blue.
