Really interesting Easter egg I noticed about the radio transmissions at the end I was a radio operator in the USMC a while back, and “Echo 5 Juliet” or “Echo 3 Romeo” are actual radio call signs you would use when you get on the radio and you don’t have your own callsign Echo = enlisted 5 = pay grade: E-5 (sergeant) Juliet = first letter of last name Echo 3 Romeo would be an enlisted e-3 Lance corporal who’s last name starts with R Pretty neat, I’ll go back through the radio shit in the clip bc if that was cool Edit: what you nail the most with these animations is the cautious awkwardness of dudes in combat who keep ducking down and peeking over cover so they can bring their weapon up for a bit to crack off some hasty rounds before ducking back under bc every round fired in your direction sounds and feels like it’s about to hit you

Also, the main plot is obejctively trash and completely fiction.

Description's a mood but I feel ya, chief. Keep on keepin on and thx for sharing this wonderful work. The way you so dilligently and specifically display the better untold stories of the Half-Life universe, and furthermore shine a spotlight on the absolute majesty that is Black Mesa, is on a level up there with some of the absolute GOATs in my opinion. Artists like TheParryGod, Komegatze, the real OGs. Honestly I wish they would release sorta director's cut stuff like this as well, and I hope you continue to.

This is just Perfect half life 1 animation. but I would just like to pay attention to the detail of how the zombie drags the drip behind him. this only proves how hecu soldiers completely did not know how to deal with headcrabs and did not know yet that it was too late for that soldier but they continued to try to help, even by connecting a drip, that's sick detail.

LOVE your HECU videos. Would LOVE more HL1 background lore/narrative being animated. The 7 hour war would be a massive challenge, but maybe more normal HECU soldiers in their fighting would be better. Either way cannot wait for more!
