All men PAY: the more she likes you, the bigger the discount

One way or another, men pay to access the opportunity for sex with women. And it is often the case that the more transactional the relationship becomes, the less men actually pay. This is because the value of the time, energy, money, and opportunity spent in less transactional relationships is generally greater than the value of the money spent in more transactional relationships. However, the higher a given woman's attraction, the greater the discount she will generally offer to access the sexual opportunity. The more a man pays, the less the woman likes him.

@@kiravampira1456 I don't think men treat women like women treat clothes. Men are evolved to care for and protect their wife. Men are not that likely to show off their pretty wide in order to gain promotion at work. That just does not make much sense. It is mainly about actual technical competence. Do you really think that a guy sleeping with a girl is interested in how that would look to somebody else if he boasted about it afterwards? But women really are evolved to treat men like jobs, or in other words as work in order to obtain resources. The reason is once a woman is carrying a man's child, it is not as useful to look after the man as it is to look after the child. So the man comes last. This is why women and children got off the Titanic first. I will offer what I think of as wisdom to complement the comment from @whiskeytango9769. Women are carbon-based machines evolved over millions of years to extract the maximum possible resources from men consistent with the laws of physics by exploiting men's hopes, dreams, and insecurities. In short, women are evolved to be masters at emotional manipulation.

@@marriagecausesdivorce7540Women don't divorce providers, they divorce men who pretend to be providers/hoarders A difference between a provider and a pretender is that a provider gives her money for personal expenses, and takes her on trips A pretender's only financial contribution in her life is half the bed she uses, the water , electricity and the plate of food she eats, less than $500 in exchange for her cooking, cleaning, laundry, seggs, nannying, etc worth thousands of dollars per month that she does for free. He drains and uses her for free until she can't take it and leaves him. But this makes him unhappy because the money he never gave her, and that she helped him make with all her background work, even though he kept saying that he is working for her and the children, he will now have to split and this breaks his heart, he feels like a master who finally has to not only let go of his slave but pay them too, despite him believing that slaves shouldn't be allowed to leave on top of being free. And because money is all he ever really cared about throughout their marriage and he never really worked for her but to enrich himself , this is really hard and it might require him to get another wife to make all this money all over again, but he can't take the risk, since he knows he'll have to share it sooner or later. Not to mention that he suddenly wants to spend time with his kids now that she's divorcing, even though he couldn't take care of them by himself to save his life. If he knows their shoe sizes it's a miracle. But he hopes he'll get the custody of those kids he can't raise, so he can give them over to the girlfriend or new wife to do his job, depriving his children of both parents. Because it's never about the wife or the kids , it's about himself. Wife and kids are his collection that he is fighting to keep, but also his wallet he's trying to protect. If they stay he won't have to spend not human beings whose wellbeing he cares about and therefore shows care to , whose needs matter to him. So he calls the system corrupt instead of sensible for giving custody to the mother, because despite her imperfections she's been the presence and constancy in their children's lives

My take away is that a guy should go after women that appear attracted to him. Don't try to convince the ones that don't appear to be attracted to you to like you. Everything is so much easier when it is obvious a woman is attracted to you. Even if it isn't a romantic interest. Working with women that find you attractive is much easier for example. Having a conversation is much easier. I think "chemistry" is mostly just the woman being attracted to the guy. That is why it feels like the conversation went so well, it's why he was so funny...

I agree with this entire lesson. I gained access to all of the sexual opportunities I could handle after turning 30. It makes sense that the opportunities came along after securing a good paying job, paying off debt, learning how to dress, beginning to travel, and could afford to take risks. My value increased greatly because my lifestyle was something women could see they wanted to be a part of, and so they bartered with sex to come along for the ride.

But the thing is American women give sex to men who are not even established yet and are bums so that don’t even matter. @BasedRedemption
@BasedRedemption 11 ай бұрын
I don't necessarily agree that money is the end-all-be-all, most women will even deal with bums if they hit the right notes and turn her on emotionally and mentally. Difference is that you PAY with time, energy, AND money versus just money, so it's more expensive for sure. Romanticism is made by the poor as Orion has mentioned, so makes sense. I just think that type of 'loyalty' garnered from attracting her emotionally/mentally is necessary to secure a woman than just satisfying her materliastic needs that she can get easily anywhere else. If you’re able to satisfy BOTH her emotional and materialistic needs, she’s going to be head over heels for sure though and ‘loyal’ as long as you keep consistent with your value.

Nice to see someone confirming my observations, Doctor. It should also be noted that human interactions in general tend to be transactional in nature to begin with e.g. there is ALWAYS a 'quid pro quo' component to any interaction. That said, one of the most notable observations I found after losing a considerable amount of weight was...how differently I'm treated, and not just by women. Going into a business when you are morbidly obese is vastly different then when you go in merely overweight; how the other customers treat you, how the staff treat you, very different. What really amazes me is how litrle weight change can cause a noticeable change in social behavior. In my case, gaining as little as 15 lbs. will get the old "s*** talkin'" started again; get back to my new baseline weight of 180 and we're back to simpering politeness. Sad really, but that's how it works.

Congrats on your weight loss - I know how difficult it is. I hope you're doing well with it. I agree entirely that human interactions are transactional, but most people aren't aware of this. I lost nearly 40kg, or around 40% of my body weight in fat in 12 months a few years ago. I then regained 25% in muscle. What I found regarding other people is that on aggregate I was getting treated better by other men, except for the insecure ones. Most of the men I knew previously were sincere in their congratulations, but a few would make sarcastic digs that hid underlying bitterness. The most sincere reaction of approval was from other jacked men in the gym, and from other well-built men in the streets. It was a subtle nod that they give to one of their own, I guess. As far as women are concerned, I didn't do much with them before at all, because I keep myself away from them. There's one woman though who now positively glows when she sees me, and she's someone who knew me before. But the general reaction from women is that they see me as a piece of meat. Some want to have a free grope of my pecs and the rest of it. It also resulted in greater visibility, sadly. It brought out all the insects from under their stones who now attempt to bait me to become their newest orbiter. In terms of business, I"m not a businessman, I'm an academic of sorts and who deals with the public from time to time, and I'd be sometimes asked to 'keep an eye' on visiting university students when they stay over on conferences to make suer they don't break things. In other words, preventative security detail. In general, I found I get respected better by the public now compared to when I was very fat. Same with people in the rest of society. There's only one or two hardcore nutters who think they need to pick an unnecessary fight with me, though it never goes to blows.

There's a lot of truth with the VS between a lady you want to be with and a prostitute. Same thing is true about 'living' with a woman and just hiring a maid instead (the latter being much cheaper... as there's no living expenses, frills, etc). If you hold back your investments while 'vetting' women for a possible 'future' family, you can see if she 'really' likes you _or_ she's giving you penalty costs because she's not that into you. Always get the best deal you can negotiate and don't end up with a "money pit". As an addendum. If a lady is 'becoming' more expensive to you all of a sudden, it's probably time to cut your losses as she's either lost interest in you significantly _or_ she's showing her true nature that was perhaps concealed during the initial phases of your relationship. It doesn't matter why, just take the 'red flag' and move along as she isn't measuring up.

I agree with most of this. The only thing I would point out is that the category of the "bad boys"(including narcisists, machiavellanists and manipulators in disguise) never actually pay anything, at least not to those to whom they own, and not in the short term. The sexual discount that women can give becomes free access for them. The problem is though, that oftentimes the ones who'll pay later for those who have eaten without paying the dinner will be the next customers, that is, the next guys who will enter the relationship with these girls.

This is not just a modern development, btw, it has been true throughout history. It's just that back in the past, there was a much bigger social pressure to get married (be monogamous) at a young age, so women settled for "lesser" men more often (because there were fewer "greater" men available). The marriages would almost always be miserable with little sex/affection and lots of resentment/regret. The upside was that families remained intact and kids had a much more stable upbringing.
@DiningPhilanderer

I'm not sure "almost always be miserable" is accurate. Also, is it fair to be constantly be compared to the best humanity has to offer? Let's flip the script here - One night I was looping through KZbin shorts and saw this incredible looking girl. If I was to compare local girls to her they would all fall short. Turns out she is from Romania and is in the perfect 19-24 age range. Are all local men supposed to be miserable because they are not with the hottest women on the planet? There are and have always been only a few "great" men/women - learn to live with and be happy with the best you can get. FWIW You are totally correct about the child upbringing...

Some very interesting insights here. The idea of a "discount" based on how much she likes you goes a long way to explaining a bunch of experiences I have had (and I have observed others having). Also the idea of men ghosting girls after sleeping with them because they are afraid she's going to try to "tie them down" is a fascinating one. It's probably even true that the guys aren't even consciously aware why they're ghosting that girl (especially if he routinely pledges/promises "love" to the girl as part of his seduction routine.... He's metaphorically written a check and he's afraid she's going to try to cash it)

These concepts have proven true in my experience. The ones who were most attracted to me were basically throwing sex at me constantly and making it easy to work with my schedule. I didn't pay much in terms of time, money, or any other valuables. They acted as if they were lucky to Netflix and chill with me. The ones who wanted more of my time, energy, effort etc. were always more wishy-washy and more difficult to access sexually. It took me some time to figure this out but I'm glad I finally did and this video clearly illustrates what I believe to be true that the greater the attraction the easier the access and the better the "discount". The crux of this for me is the the discounts start to diminish and in a recent case I start to feel like they're getting the better deal because of the lost opportunity cost of pursuing someone I find more attractive. I think I want the middle ground where both people feel they are getting a good deal.

That's basically why long term relationships for men are a bad deal, especially if you're wealthy. From an evolutionary perspective men aren't even monogamous, deep down all of us KNOW this as men, even if some of us wanna act delusional. Relationships for men comes with minimizing loss as you receive dwindling returns. You're expected to provide more and increase that provision over time for a partner that gets less attractive and appealing overtime. Not to mention sex dries up overtime as well. It also doesn't help that most husbands don't even get sex WHEN they want, they get it when she FEELS like giving it up to them. When men rationally calculate all of this this, it's a bad deal in the long run, especially if we could be using our resources to explore a wider variety of what we're TRULY after, sex.

@@klauseba I would stack the deck with different women on the same day. Ironically I find I retained better and it forced a time constraint in real time and made me less dependent on an outcome. Can't trip off a close the was never in the bag. The minute I sense I can't break touch barrier and be more flirty on the that first outing/date, just cut my losses . If I dig her and she enjoyed the time, we can possibly do a second outing, but every time I'm pushing the interaction forward. Women can sense intent and know when you are getting action, which forces her to reveal her hand. Organize dates/outings around things I like to do.Bring her into my world and if there is a lack of compliance, cut your losses.

On another video "Why 50-50 relationships DON'T WORK", you mentioned that the more you get to the 50/50 relationship, the less attractive you become as a man. So, men have provide financially and pay more in order to be respected and attracted to. However, here in this video the message is that the more you get to the 50/50 relationship, the more she likes you.
@weirdcoincollection
@weirdcoincollection 11 ай бұрын
That's a great observation, but I think there's a distinct difference between those points. Women DO NOT WANT a 50/50 relationship, because, like ANYBODY they want all the advantages of something, without any of the disadvantages. Because of the sexual differences between men and women, women have easy access to sex and men do not. If a woman had the choice to have her lifestyle bankrolled by another person (a man) she would 100% have a preference in that dynamic. In this sense, it makes sense for a man to disproportionately "pay more than half" in order to keep a woman happy. Now, in this video, doc says that "the more attractive a man, the less he is going to pay for a woman's company". And so the inverse is assumed to be true as well-- if a man pays more, then he is less attractive. So, how can both points have truth to them? It certainly sounds contradictory. It's because they're similar talking points, but different topics entirely. Women have a preference to be taken care of. Men have a preference to have access to sex that costs them the least amount of resources. "Attractive men" (handsome, has money/resources, socially popular etc etc) pay less because women want access to them. A man who is less attractive has no choice but to "pay more" because a women will not give their time to someone they find less attractive. So it's two different things-- the attractiveness of males in relation to their worth, and the desires of women (who literally want everything, and have the sexual value to leverage that perspective) Similar, but different. Different, but the same thing.

As always Dr. Orion, great insights (and why I'm subscribed). Couple of observations: 4:10 - 4:43 : That is the core of Redpill/MGTOW thinking (with a strategy of attracting more women - if the strategy is not to attract women it's just MGTOW forever - and it could be 1 strategy or the other). The idea is to "work on yourself" as an "investment", but the payoff is the "discount" you allude to. What's happening is that men are doing a cost/benefit analysis of that investment, and it doesn't always work out for the women. And that's definitely true of the step up commitment from sex to relationship. 6:16 - 6:44 : 100%. This is why it's a bit false for men to say they can't get any time with women: the truth is, they've rejected quite a few women, they just don't recognize it. They will approach the 7/8/9 woman, but will likely ignore the overweight female McDonald's cashier. Men do have standards, it's just that the standards are lower and measure different things then women do. That's the step up of a man to a woman from nothing to attention/sex.

At 30 I learned that Sex isn't even remotely what I'm interested in, and I've never experienced more romantic inquiries from women before. Having said that, almost all of the dialogue is over the top sexual and it feels...superficial to me. Extremely exciting and potent, but extremely superficial. Know your value, know what you bring to the table, and most importantly: know precisely what you want from the relationship as a whole. If she doesn't have it, send her away.

The problem isn't even the 6's with high standards. Its the fact that women who in terms of attractiveness are 1-4 or in other words not even average often have such high standards that a man who is a 7-8 is not good enough for them.

I saw the title, and immediately agreed. Sad fact though, is that often, women super quickly like a man, and idolizes him, gives him all access and her best... while not in fact knowing much about that man yet! I write "sad" since eventually her attraction levels drop, and she can so quickly latch on to a new man that it's like you never mattered. We always need to add "right now" to sweet words and feelings a woman has for us. With this current no accountability culture for women, why even bother try for a long term relationship? As a player, we get way more rewards from them, and it sucks, as even us players would like a real relationship but then we get burned instead.

@@moderndaymerchant Exactly. That's why, even if it hurts, we can NOT take it too personal. But, we men are asked to curb our violent instincts and polygamy drives. It's only fair to ask women to curb their hypergamy. Social pressure and shaming used to make it so. Fair for women in the past? Maybe not, but it worked for society as a whole. Now they can do no wrong and it doesn't work. Just look at any genealogic tree. Only the last generation or two do you see so many families broken up. Plus they are less happy according to so many surveys - it doesn't seem to be doing too much good for them either!
