I have a 90 EF Si Hatch that I got from my best friends family after he unfortunately took his own life 3 years ago. It used to be his and he always wanted to swap a K Series engine into the hatch and it's in incredibly good shape. It's one of the cleanest EF hatches if not the CLEANEST I've seen as far as the condition that it's in. I just don't have a clue how to do swaps or even work on cars really. I've always been more of a computer guy myself. She's been just sitting in the garage for the last 3 years waiting to be played with. I have an Audi S4 that I literally leave outside in the snow and fucked up weather just because his EF hatch is way too sentimental for me to allow it to be out in the elements all year around. I miss that guy so much. I hope some day someone can help me with getting the build he's always wanted done. Love this Hatch bro! Great work! Edit - Thanks for the likes you guys. Means a lot! I decided to go ahead and edit this comment with a link of the car that I uploaded to my Google photos. This photo was taken only a week after he passed when I took the car for it's first road trip up to the Mountains where him and I used to hang out in the summer near Lake Tahoe. photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipNv3ImgxbxrfVh4yLO7KXzfxQ3Uz5VFU9A1vSDC RIP Andrew J. Why does it need a lifted hood. I would like to know
@somuchjuice55284 жыл бұрын
More than likely its because of clearance issues. These k series engines sit very low in these chassis. Since he has the 2.4l the block is a bit taller and it looks like hes using the hasport mounts which means he probably got it flipped for the 2.4l and his hood support is already trimmed out so the engine is probably hitting the hood. And that's probably why he has it lifted in the back. Also that skunk2 manifold is pretty big, but idk if that rear hood lift does anything for that. It looks janky but it's for a good cause. Lol. 2inch hood risers would be nice
