Hugh Franklin (Dr. Tyler) was the husband of Madeline L'Engle, the famous author who wrote the award-winning novel "A Wrinkle in Time." He had been a Shakespearean actor and had appeared in many successful Broadway productions. In his later years, he wanted a "day job" so Agnes Nixon, the show's creator, hired him. Ruth Warrick, who played his wife Phoebe, was also very successful on Broadway and appeared in "Citizen Kane" playing the role of Charles Foster Kane's (Orson Wells) first wife.

Don't you notice that both Gil Gerard & James Rebhorn (RIP) always played "Bad" Fathers. Hawk was such a pain on Guiding Light, he didn't want Josh to move on with his life and be happy and he hated the fact that Josh cut him off financially

I looked at Greg & Jenny's Teen Romance and it was so "innocent" compared to Ricky Butcher & Samantha "Sam" Mitchell on Eastenders in the 1980's. They grew up in a Blue Collar Low Income Neighborhood in the 1980's where unemployment was high in The UK.

Yes, she played Paul Martin's Wife Anne whose Mother was Phoebe Tyler. She and Paul had a Special Needs Child. She was probably best known for hr Role As Leonore Curtin on Another World whose Husband Walter thought she was having an affair with his Friend Wayne Addison. She wasn't but Walter didn't believe her. Wayne was played by Robert Milli who would also act on it's Sister Show Guiding Light as Adam Thorpe (Roger's Father), and then later joined All My Children as Les Bogard.

I absolutely hated the new opening, with that braying 80's saxophone, so prevalent in daytime and prime time (Growing Pains? Bold and Beautiful?) Drama always does better with strings, not brass. WTF were you people thinking?

U really need to learn some respect. These talented actors worked 12 + hour shifts per day 5 days a week for years and had to memorize scripts and some even played multiple characters like the FANTASTIC Kate Collins! U need a foot up ur damn ass!
