@amylh322 That is Judith Bancroft "Anne Tyler Martin", who also played the role of "Barbara Wilde" on Ryan's Hope in 1981

That's right! She also played Leonore Curtin on Another World from 1966-1971 who married Walter Curtin. She went on Trial for the murder of Wayne Addison but was acquitted. Her own Husband framed her because he thought they were having an affair. Robert Milli who played Wayne Addison would later play Adam Thorpe on Another World's Sister Show Guiding Light. His TV Son Roger Thorpe played by The Late Michael Zaslow (1944-1998) would write for Another World in the 1980's. Susan Sullivan would play Lenore Curtin #2 who is probably best known for playing Maggie Gioberti Channing on Falcon Crest and played Cameron Diaz's Mother in My Best Friend's Wedding.

I never watched All My Children( no special reason, just didn't) I love Richard Hatch, but didn't know he was on the show. OMG he looked like a kid in this; probably because he WAS ! He was and still is my favorite actor. ♥ RIP Richard !

Did you know that Ray McConnell (Ex-Joe Martin) was also on The Edge Of Night as well as study at The Royal Academy Of Dramatic Art in London, England as did Robert Reed (Ex-Mike Brady) The Brady Bunch as well as Tamara Braun (Ex-Reese).

Sure is. So many Actors got their start on the Show. Alimi Ballard, Kathleen Noone, Jesse McCartney and countless others. I told UK Soap Fans how back in the day US Actors would start on Soaps to get their foot in the door.

The Actor who played Paul Martin would also marry Matt & Vanessa on Guiding Light in the 1990's. This Scene reminds me of Class Reunion by Rona Jaffe where Daphne Leeds Caldwell (Radcliffe Class Of 1957) gives birth to a Baby Girl named Elizabeth in 1973 who has Down's Syndrome except nobody knew about it back in the day. The Actor who played Lincoln "Linc" Tyler was in The Movie The Boys In The Band as Alan McCarthy who was shocked to find out his Roommate Michael from Georgetown in Washington, DC was Gay. Julia Barr's Daughter Alison Hirschlagh played Lizzie Spaulding On Guiding Light. If Julia didn't play Brooke English do you think Lisa Brown (Ex Iva Snyder As The World Turns, Ex-Nola Reardon Guiding Light) could have played Brooke as well. Also 15 Years ago this year Bianca & Lena "Kissed" on the Show and in 1994 Two UK Soaps did the First Same Sex Kiss. Beth & Margaret on Brookside and Zoe & Emma on Emmerdale.

@rmtmiller - They were after my time but i have heard that many times! It's fun to get to see these finally. This show started about the time i was born :) I didn't know Richard was on AMC. Why do the bride and groom look so miserable, it seemed as if he was going to cry! Then at 5:44 - who is that? I think she was on Ryan's Hope for a while in '81 but looks SO much prettier here.

There's a lot of History there. The Young Man is Phillip Brent who was the First Real Love of Tara Martin. She briefly dated Chuck Tyler but it was Phillip she loved. He got drafted and got sent to Vietnam, and before he went he and Tara "Married" each other in a Gazebo. He died or so everyone thought so Tara rekindled her relationship with Chuck. Phillip didn't "Die", he was in a POW Camp but he escaped. Ironically Phillip & Tara's Son Phillip Charles Tyler Brent Jr., aka "Charlie" also looked at Chuck Tyler as his "Other Father" and was referred to as a Grandchild by Phoebe Tyler Wallingford.

@@yaywhewclips242 The Chew took over AMC... and they're no longer on the air also. Plus, all the soap references they make on other shows, it's way beyond time for ABC to admit they screwed up. Big time.

When I look at the burgeoning Romance with Phil & Tara it's so 180% from Teen Romances on UK Soaps. In the 1980's Nick Tilsley and Leeanne Battersby on Coronation Street ran off to Scotland and got married at Gretna Greene where the Legal Age for consent to Marry is 16. They married/dated/slept with other folks but they always find their way back to each other. Then on Eastenders there was first Ricky Butcher and Samantha "Sam" Mitchell, they got married, divorced and then he met the second love of his Life Bianca.

@amylh322 Just to let you know, this isn't the Richard Hatch from Survivor. This Richard Hatch would later act on Battlestar Galactica. Tara is upset because she's marry Chuck Tyler but she loves Phillip. She thought Phillip died in Vietnam but he was actually in a POW Camp.

Chuck & Phillip decided to be a Pre "My Two Daddies". That's why the young man was named Phillip Charles Tyler Brent Jr., aka "Charlie". Even though he wasn't a Blood Tyler Phoebe still looked at him as her Grandson. Also James "Jamie" Martin was her Grand Nephew by Brooke when she was married to Tad.

@amylh322 Oh I'm sorry. The situation is is that in the past people often think that Survivor Richard Hatch "was" on All My Children. I heard the dude is broke as a joke. Serves his @ss right because he was so cocky back in the day. When I was a kid, I would always watch that book being opened in The Opening Sequence and I couldn't understand why they had Rosemary Prinz as a Special Guest Star. I didn't know she played Penny Hughes on As The World Turns.

Also Tad did his Homework in that very same living room, and got cold busted about his affair with Marian Colby by his own Girlfriend Liza. At least Phil and Tara tried to do their homework while Robert & Vanessa (The Cosby Show) spent more time gawking at each other. Then Dondre Whitfield played Jamal Cudahy and was a Groomsmen when Edmund and Maria got married.

Now i'm trying to just laugh off that a total stranger thought i was an idiot. :D Um, yes I do know who Richard Hatch is, i'm not sure why you thought i was confused though. I'm a BSG fan and saw him on the original and the re-boot. People on "reality" television are not my cup of tea :)

If you think US Soaps are dramatic, check out UK Soaps. On The Show EastEnders 1985-Present, Callum Highway is about to marry his Fiancee Whitney. The only problem is he's in love with a Man named Ben and he can't say anything. UK Soaps are very Gay Friendly.
