For those who need to know tarantulas tend to stay in one spot (minus mature males that want some action) and when I researched it’s even thought that too big of an enclosure in not only a waste of space (they don’t use it) it could even stress the t out. They are fine in tight spaces and prefer tight spaces. Leave Kat alone, she’s doing amazing.

Same is true for hedgehogs. I got one and didn’t believe people when they said they didn’t need much space and got a huge enclosure the hedgehog only used a third of. I ended up downsizing because I was wasting money on large bags of bedding and he didn’t even walk in half of his cage. People assume if you’re not giving your pets massive cages you’re evil without even considering what the animals needs are

I dont think it will stress them out but it is true they probably wont use it and dont need big space at all to be comfortable.
@Deactivatedsorry4 ай бұрын
@@simracingchannel7691it actually does as with large spaces, it’s easier for a predator to take them by surprise. It also is more space to hide, climb and get stuck. That may not be stressful for them but I’ll tell you, it definitely is for me! LOL 😂

@@I-hate-youtube797 Oh wow, please come tell Swedish authorities that. It's law here that an Egyptian PYGMY HEDGEHOG needs at least 20 square meters of space to walk around on - that's 215 square feet. For one pygmy hedgehog.

I've even found myself looking at tarantula's and finding them cute. Thanks to you my arachnophobia is down to at least 50%. It's all due to you and your videos. I look forward to each video. I'm so impressed! I arrived here from your jumping + velvet spider delivery and while I don't own any, I have a couple jumping spider buddies and tiny orange arachnids that love crawling all over me on my porch. Your collection reminds me of what I was tempted to build up to in my cichlid aquariums, it was an instant infatuation and required a ton of work to keep them healthy, and the payout was amazing when I had hundreds of beautiful hybrid firemouth/convict babies, though immediately I ran up against financial constraints that prevented me from expanding as I hoped. Next time [soon] I'll start anew and hope to take some inspiration from you! Such a beautiful collection! No, you're not crazy, and you obviously put a ton of work and $ into your little critters, I admire your effort! Oh, and your knowledge! I hope at some point you're able to contribute to academia in some way and share your wealth/breadth of knowledge beyond displaying the species you've accumulated, and more into care requirements and reproductive behavior and species-specific characteristics. I bet that would be a dream job for you! Thanks!
