I’m not shocked, just pleased that competitive bikes were included in the “review.” I’ve owned a SV650S, DL650 and a Gladius (which I bought because I like the V twin power plant and reliability.” I ride solo so the 650 is more than adequate for highway and the bike nimble enough for city life. At 72 my Bonneville is getting heavy and the SV650 may well be my fourth of its kind and last bike. Time will tell.

I am in the same boat as you. I'm in my mid-70s and my 650pound cruiser is getting a little too heavy and I always liked V-twin engines. (back in 1984 I had a Honda VT500 Ascot with a V-twin 500cc and it was a great bike and I loved it. I hope the SV650 has a similar ride.)

@ ….. I think you will really like the SV. It’s got great acceleration and will cruise all day at illegal speeds. Low speed manoeuvres take a little getting used to, you need a gentle, consistent throttle hand. A fourth SV is certainly on my short list.
