The Sv650 is versatile and has an accessory market that is huge, allowing each rider to adjust to their individual needs. Excellent work Miles on a motorcycle that can really get you places 😉

Ich finde auch, daß gerade die SV DAS beste bike ist für Newbies, Wiedereinsteiger, etc. Hatte die als Ersatzbike bei der 100er Inspektion der V-Strom. Bis auf den Motor nicht vergleichbar, aber man muss auch sehen, was man da fürs Geld bekommt: Toller und robuster und unkomplizierter V2. In meinen Augen einen guten Sound, sehr beweglich und man kann die sehr dynamisch fahren. Wie gesagt, Preis/Leistung absolut stimmig. VG Appi

The Suzi SV650 is a great moped. There are even racing events for the SV650. The V2 is a great engine. Reliable, easy to tinker with, great sound. You can drive the superbike riders dizzy on winding roads with it. Slim down a bit with a light sports exhaust (Akrapovic is worth every cent) and lithium iron phosphate battery and off you go.

I miss my 2008 “Busa”!!! I believe that any bike that Suzuki makes is definitely relevant! Great review on that adequate bike for smaller beginner riders. Swapping out the handlebar is not too big of a deal. It’s not too much bike too soon for those who want to get into motorcycling and are indecisive about what to purchase without breaking the bank in my opinion. Awesome, thanks!

@@FreeMilesMC For me it was the thrill of a lifetime and I didn’t do a lot of modifications to it, mainly cosmetic stuff. Be careful if you should test ride one because they are addictive for $ure!!! 👍

Great summary on the bike! Would you say the SV is equally good, better or worse for the style of touring that you do? Just got the ’22 model. Decided on the SV because of the price and reliability, and I am planning to do all the maintenance myself. Would love to make some small trips this summer to test out the whole touring thing. Probably gonna put on a windscreen and get a seat cushion. I would love to hear your opinion based on the short time you had with the bike in comparison to your Interceptor!

+1 for interest in the Interceptor comparison. The two bikes are very close in price in the used market where I am and at the moment I'm not sure if the extra power of the SV is enough to pull me away from the looks of the RE that I prefer.

I tested the SV650 once back in 2018, was looking at the X model (cafe racer style) but demoed the regular one. Gt say I was a bit underwhelmed. At first I thought they gave me the 48hp version. The torque came online oddly late, felt more like an i4 than a V2. Anyway I think the 650 V-Strom (which exchanges some hp for torque) is way meatier and more fun. ^^
