ALL NEW 77.5-79 Dentside Ford Truck Leaf Spring Brackets!

In this episode, Aaron installs “Vintage Truck and 4x4’s” all new Dentside Ford truck front leaf spring brackets. This is a new product for 2024 that was a collaboration between Dentside Depot and Vintage Truck and 4x4 to ensure all 77.5-79 Ford trucks are able to be fully restored with a better front leaf spring bracket set. Installation includes the front hanger and the rear hanger assembly pivots with shackles. Note, the newest version of the kit now also includes the vertical frame bolt for the front hangers (not shown in the video). As explained in the video, these parts are a significant upgrade over the factory parts. Due to the very precise fitment, frames that have powder coating or heavy coatings of POR15 will require minor surface adjustments (sanding of metal etc.) to the front brackets to ensure a correct fit. This is a must upgrade for any worn out old brackets or even just when installing a lift kit. Exciting week here at DD, finished up a 3-4 month collaboration with "Vintage Truck and 4x4" creating new front and rear leaf spring brackets and hangers specifically for lowboys (77.5-79). Would I need longer shackles if installing the super duty springs from early 2000’s?

This kit is designed for stock fitting springs. I do not believe super duty springs will fit...

​@DentsideDepot they do fit. larger bolt up front. if double wrap spring lower spring needs cut down. and yes new 5.75" rear (in center) shackles are needed . inch for inch match to lowboy lift springs. slight shaving of bushings bushings.

Do you have a set of stock front springs for a low boy that are still in good shape mine are sacked out if not do you know where I might find some been looking had no luck so far thanks

They all have sagged out by now really. you can get them re-arched by a spring company or just replace them with a set of skyjackers

Good channel. Hey question, got a 1974 AM General old mail truck. It's got that inline 6. I want to upgrade the carb from single barrel to atleast a double. Not sure where to even start. Any pointers? Thnx!

No, the F150s have a radius arm, so it is completely different.
