Man, this is SUCH a spot on theme for me, I don't know how many times i was scrolling through all these names and wondering: "who tf are those", but was too lazy to search then and there, and then just forgetting to do that, while sometimes i really did searched and found nothing of interest sadly. I wish i had some sort of book of myths and legends, like the one i had about Greek mythology back in my childhood, it worked so well with the GoW games, i was playing to learn names and places, and then reading more about those in the book, i had so much fun. But with the Norse games and lore it's you guys here on YT that replaces me my books, so i can't thank you enough for that. Much obliged for uncovering this small but interesting theme ❤️

Did you know, you can get under jormy and surtr when the asgard wall breaks?

How exactly you can get under them, they're fighting in the distance?

@@CoolSaver When the wall breaks, before you get to the first encounter you can retreat and they’ll be fighting there. Don’t go too early or else jormy won’t spawn.

Off topic, but there’s a Norse story of a valkryie(forgot her name) who was put in a castle surrounded by fire(very shrek inspired) until saved by her lover, do you think in a atreus spin off game we could get something like this?
@gowautist5 ай бұрын
The Valkyrie's name was Brynhildr
@gowautist5 ай бұрын
Actually iirc some aspects of her story were given to the other Valkyries

Man all The Gods of War in this Series love having Multiple Weapons! Ares has Spider leg swords and one Big Sword,Tyr has a Spear and Shield,A Japanese Katana,A MacuahuitI(A Club Sword thing)from The Aztecs and 2 Khopesh(Two Sickle shaped Swords)from Ancient Egypt.And I think we all Know Kratos gets a lot of Different Weapons throughout the series.

This what makes gow games cool fun & interesting, just wished KZbinrs like u and kuba would get my credit for stuff like this, hate when other channels steal content and act like they found it, great video mid man 🍻

Theft is the greatest form of flattery. There’s not much we can do about but it’s nice to know people like out stuff enough to copy it lol. Appreciate the nice words as always!

Steal? That's a big word. Do you have any proofs they're actually stealing something? Or you think ideas or information are sooo unique, that you can only steal it, and there's no chance of a few people coming up with the same ideas or stumble on the same info? upd. oh, sorry for the tone, i misunderstood you, i thought you was talking about Kuba and Mid stealing something. But still, make sure you're 100% certain before throwing accusations at someone. Sometimes, i agree, it's obvious when someone is stealing content, like the timings, phrases, structure. But other times it's a bit tricky, even words and phrases can just randomly match, we're not so unique as we think we are.

Thor was "giving" Sif "Thunderous" applause 😉😏😂 also the fact the references to many locations, Gods, and heroes in Norse mythology made me wish he had a Norse God of War trilogy I think some of the those characters and places could've worked in a trilogy especially for Atreus growth as a character as well as Kratos growth as a character.

I love your sense of humour 😂 Btw, was you searching anything noteworthy about the charms that drop from NG+ Berserkers? They have such a vague description and interesting unique names, but i googled a couple and found nothing of interest (not like i spend too much time searching though).

Yeah, it's nothing noteworthy, just Norse words that mean "death", "pain" or sth like that.

I think some accessories that can be used by Freya or Atreus mentioned the best eagle in the 9 realms I think, And you probably already knew this because it's lore, but they also mentioned ran and nerthus

Hey, Mid! I was wondering if you could make a video about the Berserker king’s curse. After Kratos beheads him, he will sometimes say: “My kingdom - a curse on your name…” I haven’t seen anyone talk about this. Curses in Norse myth can be pretty nasty, but I’m interested in seeing what it could mean.
@MidChronicler5 ай бұрын
Hey! It's interesting, but frankly, I'd have no idea what to say. I could dig deep to see whether a similar thing existed in myth, but honestly, I don't think it will come up at all in the future. It's just a cool menacing thing for Hrolf to say after his defeat.
@NephiylusBaphson5 ай бұрын
@@MidChroniclerI mean, considering Sigrun, an optional boss fight just like Hrolf, became quite an intricate and important character in Valhalla, I wouldn't put it past them to fo something with it. But as of right now yes, it is probably just a one off thing
@MidChronicler5 ай бұрын
@@NephiylusBaphson we’ll see. Sigrun and the Valkyries’ story is very tied to Odin and Freya, their presence was necessary. The Berserkers are kind of off to the side, irrelevant to everything else going on, so I don’t count on that storyline continuing in any meaningful way.

@@MidChronicler makes sense, we'll see, though you're probably right

@@MidChronicler agree, i think the same misunderstanding of how curses work gave birth to a theory, that Persephone is responsible for Kratos' immortality. I mean, i don't know how curses work, but it's exactly because of that thoughts like this can pop up in people's minds.
