The fact that Deimos was voiced by Elijah Wood, a high profile actor, in GoW3 only for him to do one voice line and not coming back to GoS (probably because he's too expensive) is also pretty sus

I have a theory, ATREUS WATCHED THE RIFT WITH THRUD, before the fight between Kratos and Thor in Ragnarok Kratos tells Atreus to take the mask and thrud and go. they are not there in the whole fight. After the death of Thor they suddenly appear and no explanation of where they was. After ragnarok Atreus knows where to look for giants which is mysterious .I think he saw in the rift with the help of the mask

Gotta love you, guys. As a fan of the series since god knows when, i feel my heart pumping when someone like you and @KaptainKuba manage somehow to find the deepest secrets burried in the "developer's trash bin". Also KRATOEEEESSSS!!! Lol. This is wild, man! Watched Kap's video first ngl, but both of them give me the chills and i love it. Thank you for keeping alive my passion for the series.

Funny, astonishing and insightful. Love this video mate. I suppose it's tradition in this franchise to have curiosity sparking prophetic murals (especially those that point out to intriguing and mysterious characters). On a side note, i think this video makes me appreciate how much potential awesome stuff a video game has to leave out during its development process, there was a similar focused video on this by Jacob Geller (who has also made a banger video essay on ragnarok, please please check that out if you haven't Middy, it's titled "How GoW challenged fate and then did it again") that talks about how many cool choices and ideas games have to let go during their development and this video was a good example for gow in that regards.

4:00 I think it was god of war 2 to be honest since that tease in GoW 2005 was for the SEQUEL supposedly but things obviously changed it seemed like.

As a sucker for Deimos, This is your best video, blondie! What Santa Monica did to Deimos was a huge waste of potential imo. I was hoping to see him again but they just mentioned him in ragnarok and that's it. STILL i hope he's alive and we'll see him in new rebuilt greece 😂

@@MidChroniclerTo be completely fair Kratos technically died multiple times before and came back, so it's not impossible for Deimos to return. You just gotta be creative and find a way to have it make sense. Although unlikely, one way he could return is by escaping the Greek Underworld, since now it has no ruler to control the souls. It's far fetched but anything is possible with Greece after GOW 3.

@@ali-k-gamer1881Dude I completely agree!!! I'm a huge Deimos fan and I'm so disappointed that Santa Monica keeps on neglecting him!!! Deimos really could have been so much more to the story then just a long lost brother!!! There's so much potential in him!!! He's literally named after the God of Dread, so his Godly powers must be insane!!! Imagine if he was a narrative parallel to Kratos and showed what he could have been!!! Like what if Deimos was manipulated by the Gods and poisoned by lies to hate and fight Kratos??? What if he was used as a fail safe to protect Olympus but he was unstable because of all the trauma??? Idk if I'm making sense but I'm just making what if senarios!!! Anyway I support your dream and I want Deimos to return!!!
