To be fair every mythology talked about it's land as a separate world which depends on people worshipping and believes in the gods which gave them their influence but if no one knew or believe in said gods they had no influence so basically they don't exist especially when gods were powerful beings but they live and die so no omnipresent or omnipotent to affect the land outside their influence or time for example

What if gods are just very powerful beings, who emerged in different parts of the world and remade them to the point of changing laws of nature, but originally there was one Earth, which originated in the same way as ours - naturally?

Concept art for GOW shows the world as a mythological flat round disk with the underworld beneath the surface and a pillar holding up the world, it was not depicted as a sphere because the game is based in ancient mythology, not modern science. Trying to merge the Norse GOW retcon with the original story doesn't work, it just ruins the canon of the entire story.
