Worth noting that the UK spec lacks a lot of features when compared to the EU versions, For example, no ambient light above glove box, no electric seat position adjustment, no automatic parking, smaller centre screen.. such a shame

That's a different car. the European version which automatically comes with a larger screen but it's the Iconic. You can tell by the front bumper. Only the Iconic has the Gold there. Seems the main thing people want ends up digging into their knee. The big screen that it. They should have put the electric mirror on all cars, that makes no sense. Now you have to take the head rests off the back seats to see properly with the e tech version, or buy one on Amazon and get Renault to hard wire it into the reverse camera, which will probably cost a fortune. I test drove it the other day and the smaller screen looks so much classier. By the time i got in, none of the things you mentioned even phased me. You just want extra because someone else has it but you got to pay for it. Different model all together. Pretty sure you would feel the same if you sat in it. It's like being in a Sci Fi movie. Beautiful.

A superb review....Well done! I've just ordered the Top-of the -Range Iconic model in th UK (with that excellent Heat Pump). It was a straight choice between a Tesla Model 3 or the Megane, both were the same price.....No contest! The sterile, poor build quality, horrid interior, ugly Tesla is so dated compared to the Renault. It's tech is so 'yesterday'. Brilliant move by Renault going to the experts, Google! By the way, Renault say the 0-60 time is 7.5 Sec, but independent reviewers have clocked it at 6.9 Sec (that's Mini Cooper S territory, but with that lovely instant torque).......how typically French, underplaying!

It's a very good car. Would consider changing to it but for one big problem. The Tesla model 3 is now basically the same price. Wonder if Renault will react
