Thanks a million - really informative and insightful. Currently driving a 232 Renault Megane E-Tech Techno EV60. Really like it. I'm tempted to possibly make the switch to the Elroq in 252. Like to Google system in renault. What are your thoughts on both cars side by side comparision?

Megan is nice I just found it small in the rear seats and boot which is not the case for the Elroq. The Mégane does have a better operating system

On my shortlist for new company car mid-next year, but currently don’t know the leasing rates. Looks a really good all-rounder and the middle battery version is very reasonably priced.

Is this going to like other Skodas, where the price starts at an attractive level, but for that you get 4 wheels and a steering wheel and if you want anything like a modern spec, you need to add a myriad of option packs that add 25% to the cost?

Great preview thank you. At €57k it is simply too expensive for what it is. It is a nice car but not €57k nice. A Smart #3 or Mini Countryman ought to do a similar job, be more fun, and cost less. However Skoda show their sibling VW how to do interior UI/UX on the MEB platform.

In DE you get the 85 for 36k. Add clever Paket for TA.

​@@stefanenglhardt41 €36k looks competitive, though I guess it will go above €40-45k with extras. Mini plays the extras game so price mounts rapidly, but from memory a Smart Brabus #1 or #3 has a single spec a bit like Tesla. The Smarts in the UK are around £41k and £43k respectively and have 4WD which matters to me.

@@PaulMeier-cu3ds The 85 has reasonable Options included. I added Clever Paket to get Travel Assist + trailer hitch + Base Color (Energy Blue) and ended up with 38K€. Of course you could raise the price with additional options.

@@stefanenglhardt41 It is clear you can get some versions of Elroq at a more or less reasonable price though if price is the sole consideration there are Dacia, Opel/Vauxhaul, and even Suzuki. In my case I need the 4WD with at least a nod to off road. The Elroq is not quite so competitive when you add that in. It is starting to look to me as if the VW group MEB platform is not really price competitive yet which might explain why the new Ford Puma, which use MEB, costs too much.

If your ID.3 is new it's same but if it's that older version Id.3 software is totally different.

Seems a fair few press launches for EVs in the sunshine and warm weather locations lately... I assume to help with energy consumption data (I suspect launching the same car in Nordic region would show very different battery thirst).

What’s with these packs that’s what brought vw Audi and bmw down no one does packs Kia and Hyundai giving it all in one package but like everything else will be ten grand more in Ireland for the cheapest version main land Europe it will be a lot cheaper with better spec hence why I will never buy skoda their sales would be brilliant like other makes if we where not getting f..ked by the government on the price
