This is the BEST Touareg review I have ever seen. I've just bought a 286bhp diesel SEL, without the fancy cockpit! It cost less than the Rline but is so much more practical

I have 2012 model and I am going to buy 2019 inch Allaah soon . Personally I think Touareg is the best car for Middle East . It’s comfortable and reliable. Price wise I think it could be the best for those who are looking for a dream car . 2016 model is stunning as well . Love it so much .

You mention a higher seating position as one of the key achievements of SUVs over sedans. I suffer lumbar pain issues and have transitioned from the Jetta to the Tiguan for this reason, amongst other factors. Getting in and out of sedans after a long drive is a proper bother. Road visibility for me has also tremendously improved. Btw I always look forward to your reviews for VW group cars that are also available in India. Thank you!

A really good review Thomas! I currently drive a 2016 Touareg and passing 100 000 km. It is a fenomenal car. I am really looking forward to test this new Touareg. Unfortunately I think it is going to be very expensive due to new taxes on big cars/SUV here in Sweden.

After owning a 2013 Touareg exec TDI, and now watching the new version 3 of the Touareg, I am very unhappy that VW decided not to bring it to the North American market. I wish I could buy one in Canada, including the V6 TDI. Great review thomas.

Another fantastic Review! 👏 The new Touareg looks stunning especially with the impressive R-Line exterior package! Overall the Touareg is the best looking SUV in its class!🔝 The structure of the “Innovision Cockpit” seems to be very logical and self-explaining even if there are sadly no buttons left for the climate control.👍 Thank you VW for offering big and befitting engines like the V6 petrol/diesel, V8 diesel(! - later) and for not using fake exhaust pipes at this beautiful SUV.🙏👏

I normally drive BMW and was looking to buy the new X5 but it only has Apple Car play as do some of the other top makes. I really like the new touareg and will call with a dealer here in Ireland to check this out! Thanks for great reviews!

indeed BMW is an exception! Its really strange that they only offer CarPlay but then, they exclusively offer it also wireless which noone else does. I havent heard of any other brand offering CarPlay only.

Great review as always. I recently visited Germany and had the chance to drive one of these. I think it is disappointing that most of the plastics below your direct eye contact/sight are hard. I don't think that the quality is up there with the amount they charge you. I get that all the driver assist and camera systems cost too.....however I just expected better materials and better perceived quality in the interior. Keep up the good work guys. Love your reviews.

Wheel well gap at the front appear to be bigger that at the rear. Wide stance really give the vehicle a very planted feel. Cabin and dash looks alright, and It's just common sense and a safety issue concern while driving not to put some function on the sub-menu system when a simple button/knob works best. Another top review Thomas.

today i saw this model for the first time in real life and i'm surprised how low it rides! it looks more like a big station wagon than a SUV. i think vw gave up on off-road capabilities, which is funny because that was the best thing about the original model.

Some good points about SUV seating position and how much space length and width wise sedans can take up. But we also spend a lot of time sitting on couches which are generally less upright in position. But I also think you can make a car with upright seating with a more aerodynamically efficient body shape and normal ride height.

I really wish VW brought this to North America instead of the Atlas. This Touraeg would take sales from the Audi Q7 here in the U.S. It's so much more upscale than the Atlas.
