I agree with some of you guys. Out of all of Chugga's bios, he was probably at his most biased here. I don't think a lot of his criticisms are valid, and I think he overly recommends something over something else which outclasses it. It's somewhat applicable in a competitive field, but I don't think these are that great for an in-game play through.

It’s ashame these bios have aged so poorly. But given the circumstances where HGSS just come out, KZbin had a 11 minute time limit, it’s not hard to see why these bios were simple. You can tell these days he goes a lot more in-depth with the Pokémon. But also missing stuff like Natu, Smeargle, Horsea line kinda sucks.

What I just noticed is that the Gen II Johto Dex and Gen IV Johto Dex use different numbers from this and both use close to the same numbers (Gen IV has Pokemon that evolve through certain moves added). The order in this video is the National Dex version, which is in all games anyway, but that mode can't be seen until later in the games though.

These bios might be harsh, but really most of the new johto mons were trash until better movesets/TMs in Gen 3-4, or are just total garbage and inferior to the kanto mons. Pokemon like Donphan, Heracross, and Piloswine would be great mons if their level-up moves weren't so shallow. Pokemon like Ledian, Dunsparce, and Aipom have god awful stats. Pokemon like Sneasle are completely useless because of its best stab both being for the wrong stat. To make matters worse is that some of the actual good johto mons at the time; Tyranitar, Houndoom, Misdrevius aren't obtainable until the Kanto postgame.

Yes more Flareon supporters, while my favorite eeveelution is Umbreon, When i Choose Bulbasaur in Gen 1/3 Flarein is my main Fire type. It is very under loved in terms of it's special attack stat and even then it gets Flare Blitz Which is Probably Flareon's best move. While i love Umbreon because it's A Tank and it's design I love Flareon

Flareon is terrible up until the Physical-Special-split of gen 4, because it's main stat is Attack, which is terrible for a pure Fire-type, since all Fire-type moves are Special, so say goodbye to STAB.

I'm here cuz I only recently found Chuggaaconroy's videos. Pokemon he recommended: 67 Pokemon he didn't recommend: 49 (Ekans can also be found in Route 32 in Crystal although it somehow took me so long to find one, I found and caught a shiny Hoothoot before it! You can get Jigglypuff by evolving Igglybuff that you get from the Odd Egg and same with the other babies. It's also in the wild in Crystal. Venomoth only gets Gust, it gets more psychic type moves. Victreebel only really gets stabs and Hidden Power from TMs and the grass ones are obtainable very late. Slowbro and Slowking just have swapped defenses. Farfetch'd looks happy tho :P. He doesn't know how to use Golem or Rhydon. Phanpy learns terrible moves in every game but somehow since the remakes, Donphan actually gets good moves, I caught one early in Randomized Black 2 and it's very good! Hail didn't exist until gen 3.) Old Chuggaa was NOT harsh in FireRed and he was NOT harsh in this game either.
