With a cool whip jar carb booster, and hand painted Kleenex box added for his wife… Mr.Miller wasn’t afraid of customizing that truck to make it his own, and you shouldn’t be either. We kept it original because that’s our style, and honestly we couldn’t ever decide what to do with the top either. On or off? I say paint it, add new carpet, repair the front bench, maybe install that sweet new retro a/c system- Give him a 4x4 and Godzilla. Shoot, my dad always called his son Mad Man Miller because he was so fearless on a motorcycle. This truck comes from fearless folks, have fun with it! They would. Whatever you decide, we are excited to watch the journey of Mr.Miller. Love this format for sharing your trucks. Also, you may already know this- but we found the Britax click tight car seats work great for 5 point harness safety with the bench seat lap belts.

Hopefully your buddy gets the paint looking good, put in new carpet and get the front bench reupholstered and then leave it alone. That’s probably the most original one left that’s not been tampered with yet. He apparently loved the truck and resisted changing it all those years so leave it original if for no other reason than just to honor him. What a museum piece.

Gorgeous Bumpside truck , the 1970 grille reminds me so much of my childhood in Brazil 🇧🇷 ! 1967 & 1970 grille are the best of them all, 1970 is the best year of the 67-72 last year of the really good trucks as 71-72 had thinner Lower bottom trim mouldings and 71-72 also lost the iconic 3 spoke w/horn steering wheel making 1970 “ The Ultimate truck “ Brazil like 1970 so much it was built with the 1970 Grille from 1971-1986 then 86-87 to 92-93 Bumpside had the 4 square headlights grille unique only to Brazil 🇧🇷 ! Really beautiful truck Range XLT woodgrain beautiful Green colour ! I even like the canopy top , insane one of the coolest truck I’ve seen , I wouldn’t touch it at all I would’ve leave it as it’s ! Fix the minor issues with it, then either delete the canopy or find one that's lower profile and less like it was meant for a bricknose F150. Maybe add a Gear Vendors/Laycock overdrive unit to help with modern highway speeds. But, I don't think I'd do a 4x4 conversion on it. That's just me, tho.

I'm the 3rd owner of my 77 F100 2wd. I've owned it since 2001 and the previous owner was alot like this previous owner also. I still have all paperwork, ID badges, shop manuals etc. etc.. I'm upset with myself for not taking too much care of it the last 10 years. It needed a rebuild but I just let it sit in the driveway not running. After watching your videos you've renewed my interest and need to get it back on the road. I was a lot like you 20-25 years ago who loved the old Ford trucks and understood the little unique details just like the back door trim how it was cut. That a sweet truck you found yourself. It'll be fun to watch the transformation. Thanks for the vids!

Beautiful truck Solomon! I am in the same boat right now. I just picked up a 72' F350 crew 2wd this last summer. It is an all original 1 owner truck with 92k on it. I thought about the whole 4wd swap with a godzilla but at the same time it would be nice to just preserve it the way it is. Mine also is a crew cab special custom which is loaded with Ranger trim. Door panels, seats, wood grain instrument panel bezel among other little add ons. So I can not wait to see what you do with this one. Maybe it will give me some inspiration on which route to go with mine!

If that was my truck I would keep it all original because that thing is in great shape and should not be changed at all because it being a crew cab makes it rare and then being in mint shape makes it even more rare so in my opinion I would not mess with it except fix the paint and put a new carpet in and leave the rest alone because it will be hard to find another truck like that in that condition.
