Although he might have been teasing her, I'd like to think he might've been flirting with her and giving her a little wink. Also, I think Kokichi's nickname for Himiko would be Strawberry Shortcake, since her hair is red and her Ultimate Lab door has a strawberry on it. It seems only like she and Kokichi are associated with a fruit (Kokichi being a grape since his hair and eyes are purple and likes grape soda).

I honestly don't know how Kokichi felt about Himiko, but I think Himiko did have a crush on him. For instance, she asked here in the 5th trial, "Why would I ever listen to Kokichi?" The thing is...she pretty much has always listened to Kokichi. From the times I remember, she did it twice in the third trial, and also in the fourth. The first time in the third trial was when Kokichi scolded her for crying about Tenko's death when she didn't care about Tenko when she was alive. Himiko accepted that what Kokichi said was true. The other part, of course, is when Kokichi told Himiko to express her feelings at the end of the third trial. In the fourth trial, Kokichi accused Kaito of being the killer during one of the Non-Stop Debates. After hearing Kokichi's argument, Himiko asked Kaito, "Well, Kaito? Any last words?" It's weird because nobody ever really agrees with Kokichi, and if they do, they're reluctant to do so. So, it's weird that Himiko would immediately agree with Kokichi in that Non-Stop Debate. When Kokichi said "Cuz I know you like meeee," I think he might have known that she actually did have feelings for him. There are more reasons why I think Himiko had a crush on Kokichi, but for now, I'll leave it be. XD

I ship them for a whole bunch of other reasons, too, but the end of trial 3 is the most important one because Kokichi didn't have to say anything to her, yet he decided to anyway. And, like you mentioned, he was willing to drop his villainous facade for her, even if it meant that it would mess up his plan to fool Monokuma a little. He didn't do that for anyone else, and that's why I love Oumeno so much. ^-^

It’s kinda weird to me how many specific interactions that Kokichi and Himiko have with each other, especially where Himiko is being teased by Kokichi or where she is getting angry with him. It kinda seems like there’s something there, which is weird because the writers clearly didn’t develop anything between them and they barely interact. Personally, I don't put much weight into the relationship chart thingies. For instance, Gonta's relationship towards Kokichi says that Kokichi is terrible, but in the game, Gonta didn't seem to feel any animosity or resentment towards Kokichi. He was aware of Kokichi's bad behavior, but he still considered Kokichi his friend. Kokichi calls Kaede deplorable (or a "disappointment," one of those two) in Kaede's chart, even though he was intrigued by her and even called her "not boring," but Oumatsu shippers still ship them. Even though Himiko changed her opinion about Tenko after Tenko's death, Himiko still seems really annoyed with Tenko in Tenko's chart ("treats me like a small animal"), but Tenmiko shippers still ship them. Plus, Kokichi could be lying when he calls Himiko an extremely ugly girl. It seems like non-Oumeno shippers use that chart as an excuse to why you *shouldn't* ship Oumeno, even though there are other ships where one or both characters are also saying mean/bizarre things about each other, yet, nobody points *them* out. I just go by the game itself, and I don't fully believe Himiko truly hated Kokichi, even though she said so in trial 5. If she truly hated him, I doubt she would have blushed at his words, and I noticed she wasn't eager to kill Kokichi like she was with Kiyo. So, I don't believe she truly hated Kokichi. She may have been fed up with him, but, given what transpired in the game, it's understandable. But, I do agree with you. Under different circumstances, I do believe Oumeno would have been an awesome pairing. I love them so much, as well! ^-^
