@Lifewithpets727 жыл бұрын
Yes, we change out a lot of water each week, several tanks get 50% every day!! Others 70-80% every 6-7 days. Amazingly our water bill is not that bad.

Hi I was just wondering how your sponge filters are run? Are they connected to an air pump? If so how powerful do you have it running for your community tanks?
@Lifewithpets727 жыл бұрын
Yes all are on air pumps. It depends on the tank to how powerful we have them. Our 20 gallon long breeding tank and 10 gallon divided are both on the same 20 air pump so it’s running 4 sponge filters. The two way lever valves are fully open on both.

I saw an old video of yours where you had the community tank with the female bettas, how did you go about feeding all the fish properly, since they require different foods?
@Lifewithpets727 жыл бұрын
You just add the different foods into the aquarium. With the 75 gallon tank there are a lot of different requirements so we feed different foods to all the fish. They eat what they prefer.

What would you say is the best filter for a 20 and 50 gallon tropical fresh water tank? Thanks :)
@Lifewithpets727 жыл бұрын
It depends what fish are going in the tank, but I would do either an aqua clear 70 or a canister filter.
@endelvelt76507 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I would be putting a few small tropical fish and some bigger ones.

I have a question about snails. I have a planted tank each with anubias and crypts and dwarf baby tears. Algae is starting to grow so i got 2 ivory mystery snails and 2 black nerite snails. Would they eat my dwarf baby tears? Its my first time growing dwarf baby tears and so far theyve been growing well. Didnt think if the snails would eat them or not. Thanks

@Lifewithpets727 жыл бұрын
Yes, we sell 20 gallon long tank, dividers on our website. Link in the description box. We don’t have a 20 long divided set up but creative pet keeping does and she has several videos on it using our dividers. In fact I think her next video is on that tank.

What fish eats waste? That is betta friendly?
@Lifewithpets727 жыл бұрын
There are no fish that eat waste. Only water changes remove waste.

Lifewithpets What about having a snail with a betta in a 3.5 gal?
@Lifewithpets727 жыл бұрын
Yes, I’d recommend a nerite snail and you’d need to keep on top of water changes as snails produce a lot of waste. They don’t eat waste.

I thought puffers were killing machines that couldn’t be in community tanks?
@Lifewithpets726 жыл бұрын
The Amazon puffer fish is the most community friendly puffer. You still need to be careful with tank mates but as long as the tank is large (55 gallons minimum) they’re fast swimming and no long flowing fins there will be no issues.
