Pete, brother, I have seen a lot of games of yours but this has gotta be among the most impressive displays of your skills and mental fortitude. I've seen you win championships and come back from 2 troops, but this is the first one where I was happily exhausted the whole way through. I mean my god, absolute marathon where every round, every troop, every minute decision mattered and all of that with the fun little addition of TRUE RANDOM dice ??! Nah, I'm really impressed. Without getting too dramatic or anything, can't help but smile at what a great story this game is, to underline your often mentioned worldview of a positive outlook and trying your everything to the end, despite getting everything possible thrown at you. Much respect and I hope you get some 2 cap open Russia pocket for the next one, you've earned it. Cheers!

I think pink's tunnel vision was even worse. 1st he only did care about his f*ng noob corner 2nd he didn't realize he was in the winning position several times and didn't leverage 3rd he did never retaliate on yellow even when yellow slammed him several times bc he was overfocusing on Pete

I don't think blue started it as an attack on the biggest player. Blue wanted SE Europe since Pete would get E Europe the next turn. Pete already had +15 and an extra cap while blue only had +9 which is entirely reasonable. Pete not only didn't give up SE Europe, he broke Orient and then hit 4 more territories including a 5-stack. Pete started the attrition by being greedy.

Before Blue first broke you and then you retaliated, you were saying something like, "They should not let me hold this much board." So I'm wondering if Blue's breaking a single territory into your bonus was him agreeing with that assessment and seeing what you'd do, whether you'd retaliate big or instead say, "ok, ok, you're right I have too much," and then keep working with each other just not with you having an overwhelming lead. In hindsight, what are your thoughts on this?

Yellow is a horrible player and I actually recognize the name with the French flag. Always boot them out of my lobby. They're horrible skill and diplomacy wise..they were just lucky they got allowed back in the game after losing the cap on turn 2 and were opportunistic and lucky. Nothing they did showed any skill

Kylted literally just played a game like this. It seems like no one these days knows how to effectively use alliances to get to a 1v1. There’s no loyalty and it always just ends in a 3 player circle jerk where everyone is unable to trust each other to effectively team.

Ah yes, my favorite kind of player. The one that fucks with you and then when you break back, they are astounded and break alliance. Right up there with the ones who try to bully you into doing their dirty work via alliance. (As in the ones that obnoxiously spam commands) Risk truly is a social game, just one that lacks communication options.

As for picking starter cap here between Russia and Germany, does the fact that you had more territories and troops in Germany from your spawn influence your decision at all? It feels safer to me if I can fortify some troops in over the next couple turns, have a buffer against direct cap attacks, and have a headstart on taking a bonus. All those factors would have lead me to cap in Germany here instead of the isolated Russia territory since otherwise they seem to me to be positions with similar prospects. Is it because you were predicting the red cap there regardless of whether it would neighbor cap or am I missing something key here?

Great Hair Pete. 39:06 Alright, is this the mid point of this game? 39/83 minutes, roughly. Let's see how Pete shakes out. 43:10 red if still in the game, and still being ignored like this, by just cap stack passing... would have the most amount of troops, wild right? Without taking any territory. There is just a sea of red walls. I also like how yellow got bigger than magenta around this point too. Funny. If you were magenta or blue you should have snuffed yellow out while they had 18 troops, and taken all that territory own spain, and west africa. Jesus. 4530 yellow just blitz the cap so you can take his cards out of middle east so you can trade in turn! I feel like at 52:10 you might have been able to take blue out then push into magenta, you would have set into a trade, but it isn't progressive, and i don't know how many troops you would have lost. Yellow is doing incredible for no cap. 53:33 TRY AND STACK FOR THE SPAIN CAP YELLOW. God. you have the piles, just line them up! Or shoot for the blue cap too, fuck it you'd have a like 2 caps on a 4-point empire. of 4 bonuses. Itallly spain, and 2 african. 58:01 i can't help but constantly be reminded yellow had 18 troops and no bonuses and was hiding in the south western corner of the map, blue could have just rocked him, hell magenta could have made a go at him. it's wild to see yellow so present this late in the game, they were so gone if people kept punching. 59:55 you've pretty much just been being punched on by 3 players on all sides all game (i didn't watch the first twenty ish minutes I think, only half paying attention, probably around when red left or white whoever was second i think it was red. who had to wait to wait the bot out. ) since then it's just been all punch pete, and you are still going! I want to say i was watching before you DIDNT take the +8 which i was thinking to myself, yes greedy but I think you should have still taken was my thinking at the time, and after seeing you get beat up out of your other bonuses i was like, would have lost that bonus too probably. 1:11:35 it's wild how little interest yellow has in caps. 1:13:00 A Breath Finally, we are in the end game now.

I think you retaliated too hard on blue for his tiny break on you. My guess is pink was whispering in his ear since pink never allied you. Then blue couldn't ever work with you again after that. I think blue needed just a little nudge to continue to work together, but that was all out war.

i love how pete always play risks obviously he's fundamentally a way better risk player than i am but my play style is completely different from pete, when i for sure know i am better than a player in my game preferably a neighbour i just fuck with them from the begining and make them either quit or just kill them, i would never fuck with a player as good as myself or better unless they fuck with me first.

you kept doing something other than just cap stacking when getting teamed on and while its commendable its also going to spike your blood pressure. I think once you were getting gangbanged I would literally just skipped and put it all on cap and essentially conceded... everyone in the game is really bad so you can honestly get a 2nd that way pretty easily in these settings ive found out and once in a while get a win. All your opponents were terrible.
