Piccolo's pink spots are a bit of a complicated thing, so let me explain: in the manga, Namekians of all ages have their spots in a light yellow/tan color with red borders regardless of age, and Piccolo is therefore depicted with this color scheme at all times. His belt is also red rather than blue as in the anime, and his nails are black rather than white, he also has four fingers on each hand as well. The anime changed these things to the colors we know. Although Super Hero did go back on some of these things, it did choose to keep Piccolo's manga colors mostly intact. But the most drastic change from the manga to the anime was taking the yellow spots of namekians of all ages and converting them to pink for youthful Namekians. Middle-aged Namekians keep the original color, while very elderly ones, such as Super Kami Guru, have them in a dull orange/brown color, kind of like wilted leaves. This gives another visual distinction for Namekians of all ages, in addition to the elderly ones being darker and more wrinkly, and sometimes having more elongated heads. But given how Piccolo has inherited King Piccolo's wish for eternal youth, he will never grow old, and therefore will always have pink spots in the anime depictions. That's why them turning to yellow (the middle-aged Namekian color, or the default one for all of them in the manga) serves nicely as another distinction for his new form, in addition to the color change and elimination of the lines from his arms. This distinction was not capitalized upon in Super Hero very much though, as that movie uses Piccolo's manga colors, where all Namekians have yellowish spots on their bodies regardless of age.
