Honestly, I don't think it's the best saga in DBZ, but it's definitely underrated. It could've been better, but it doesn't deserve the hate it gets.

It’s rare to see a collection of words put together for the first time in human history. I like the Sacred Water as a concept. Allows an answer to defeating a villain besides Kill Em. Just like the Mafuba. I also think it’s important to serve as closing action for the Frieza saga. It establishes the characters we’ll be following going forward, and where there lives are at. We’ve moved past Yamcha/Tien/Ciaotzu for better or for worse, and Krillin while being ready to square up, is moving into more of a civilian role. Now it’s all about Piccolo, Gohan, Vegeta and of course Goku. I think a well written Garlic Jr. Saga would’ve been good. The one we got. Not executed well.

@@tay14741 Friend, have you seen the original English dubs or ocean dubs? The soundtrack is far far superior. Like, it's not even close lol. You may not be old enough to remember, but the score and some of the old voice acting just hits different. Type Gohan turns ss2 and pikons theme into KZbin and you'll see what I mean 👍🎵
