Seeing people share their dislike for Crystal Skull..I agree if kinda bad..But I swear there’s a good movie in there somewhere..Take away Mutt swinging from vines.Fix some of the weak cgi.And rewrite some of the awful dialogue..The story itself isn’t bad..Indy’s son.Him getting married.And even aliens fit into the 1950’s aesthetic

I just don't like how the franchise was always about the supernatural and spiritual forces and then they added alien science fiction in there, it just didn't fit. I grew up watching the trilogy repeatedly and Crystal Skull was just a huge let down. So many things wrong with it that I honestly don't think too much is redeemable outside of some vague plot ideas. Maybe if you rewrote literally everything except the idea of Indy having a long lost son with Marion it could have been a decent movie but that's about all I'll give it. I'm just hoping Indy 5 goes back to what made everybody love the franchise and they don't bastardize it even more.

The Nuke the fridge scene was the absolute worst part. Followed by the Vine swinging, the 3 times it drops waterfall scene, and ant scene. Honestly I didn’t mind the alien stuff. But the CG of the aliens was atrocious. Also most of it was shot in studio on a green screen which diminished the globe trotting adventure feel of the earlier films. Film makers have become too reliant on CG spectacle these days

He looks like a grandpa. Actually he reminds me of my grandpa; too loose sitting pants that are typical for elderly, a belly, white hair. Not really his 20 year old adventure self of the 80's. Combine that with the plot that the fedora is gonna have a vagina as 'Phoebe Waller-Bridge is gonna show him how it's done'; plus the fact that both mighty production men are NOT active in the production and I'm afraid we have a real stinker on our hands.

There's no ACTUAL "time travel" in the movie - but it involves a Nazi device that was made *to* time travel (based on the DIE GLOCKE legend). And Indy is trying to keep both NASA and Mikkelson from getting a piece that will make the device work. But there's no actual time travel that happens in the film. The whole story involves trying to PREVENT it from working so Mikkelson can't go back and change the course of WW2.

Yeah they played it safe and did Natzis again, which means they’re probably gonna do a remake of Raiders but with more nostalgia driven stuff and a weak story. Indiana Jones is supposed to be campy and almost a better version of the old action morning cereals with the cliche villains and sevens that’s why the first two are like completely different cuz it’s the adventures of Indy it’s not supposed to be this big masterpiece. Last crusade was supposed to be different and follow the same formula, for example there was supposed to be a haunted mansion, but they played it safe and did a rehash of what raiders did best. The fourth one actually did kinda both but needed some longer work tbh but still an enjoyable film. I just don’t really have hope for this even tho I’m excited asf.

I have faith this will be good. I really like James Mangold’s direction. Ford Vs Ferrari, Logan, and 3:10 to Yuma are all awesome movies. I feel Spielberg lost his mojo a while ago and is a bit too reliant on CG, and made Indy too much of a parody with Kingdom of the crystal skull.

Based on what I can see, this movie will be taking place in 1969. All I know is Henry won’t be killed off. In the Indiana Jones canon, he is still alive at the age of 93 in 1992. That and he drank from the grail. He can’t die from old age.
