cool vid, man nothing will ever replace that shrine. from the cramped lobbies, the gold paint on the walls at the bottom, the end blues hanging off the walls. It's like the house you grew up in and made a home, the ACC is good but it's just not home.

The great thing about the Gardens was how steep the stands were. You felt like you were right on top of the action.

Never saw a hockey game there, but enjoyed many legendary rock concerts. It's funny to think that the final NHL goal scored here, was from Bob Probert.

speaking from an american ny rangers fan point of view maple leaf gardens along with the forum in montreal were hockey cathedrals i would give anything to go back in time and see a game in them and the fact they moved instead of heavily renovating them is bullshit both teams should never have left such historic buildings i fell that when they both moved they lost some of their luster for the buildings played a heavy role in that mystic

@REDKRAKEN182 жыл бұрын
It’s not actually ironic because Chicago beat Toronto in the first game at Maple leaf Gardens

@donraja84 Why would they even include him in the edit? Honestly? He's not the best selling feature of a final game at MAPLE LEAF GARDENS.
@LeftyStegman9 жыл бұрын
in my opinion the leafs should have stayed there till the season was over.

It's a shame. Maple Leaf Gardens, Montreal Forum, Chicago Stadium, Boston Gardens all had a better and more unique hockey feel to them. The ACC is just awful, Le Centre Bell is so steep that if you fell from a high seat, yer going all the way down.

Almost 20 years into the ACC or Scotia Bank Centre and still haven't won a title or even made a cup appearance. Embarrassing! as much as im a leaf fan, i honestly really wish the fans would stop going to the games and buying their shirts and hats... choke this team off of their gravy train of stealing our money for mediocre teams and players at best. Its a major insult to the game, the city, and fan loyalty. $368.60 avg ticket price to see a leaf home game in 2018, highest in the league. There is no reason this franchise shouldn't produce a cup at least every 5 years. i know the backlash i will get for saying this, but i couldn't careless if Toronto even had an NHL team anymore. After Vegas was able to go to the cup finals in its first season and leafs haven't even made a cup final in 51 years, what a joke, either the league is fixed or us Leaf fans are all blinded fools. after Vegas making it to the finals Hockey just died for me, i canceled my cable, and sold off all my leaf shirts and collectables. To me it just felt like i was being "used" as a leaf fan. Used as in, paying top dollar for tickets, collectables... and we were nothing more than a leech to fuel the struggling markets, and help sell the "business of hockey" not the "Honest game of hockey". Like really, lets think about it, how the hell does a team that has been around for 100 years hardly make it to playoffs year after year or lose in 1st round more often than not, but a first year team can go right to the finals. what a joke. im tired of being a field filler so the American teams can celebrate their phony championships. Leafs might as well have folded the organization in this final game at the gardens, because nothing has been accomplished since. Betman, the jooish rat, will never allow a canadian team to win a cup. RIP hockey
