A little quirk the Metel (and all power weapons that fire explosive bullets) has, is that if you slot the firecracker mod on it, every shot will trigger pyromania perk, giving you infinite grenades basically

@@maskedman5657 Same here. The Widowmaker was one of my favorite guns in 1.6 but in 2.0, I used it a couple of times and then threw it in the trunk and never touched it again. I did pretty much the same thing with Commrade's Hammer, too. I think what really killed it was losing the perk that doubled it's damage. I hate slow firing weapons so if I'm going to use one, it better one-shot an enemy and it used to do that but not anymore.

I pair the comrade's hammer with the hand cyberware Microgenerator and it makes it a pretty powerful one shot gun. since every round shot requires reload, every round shot also does massive electrical damage on top of the normal damage it already does. It works well with Ashura too since it's a one shot rifle.

It actually works better on something with a bigger mag (5+ rounds), and with fast fire rate to quickly run through all the ammo, reload and get a hell of a damage from first shot, then repeat

That and the teostara (I think I got that right) shotgun or sovereign, those guns load two pellets at a time and fire them both in one shot, making microgenerator extremely effective with those.

Laika surprised me with how much it whoops ass. I never really used comrades hammer (or revolvers as a whole) pre 2.0 but dude Laika carried me all thru Phantom Liberty/endgame. It does crazy splash damage and knocked everyone off their feet, even without charging it. Tech weapons got insanely fun after 2.0 as a whole I’d say.

Sam, I finished Cyberpunk (100%) for the 3rd time last week (136 hour playthrough!). I am sad that I'm done. While playing I watched all your videos, they were so fun to watch and really informative. Laika is underrated its actually really good it synergizes with 3 trees the pyromaniac grenade tree the tech tree and the revolver tree if you have all 3 you do devastating area of effect dmg just get some armor and cyberware that quickens reload speed and it feels way better

I feel exactly the same, headshots seem to knock foes down quite often (quite useful as crowd control too). Combine that with the fact that shooting enemies on the ground are always crits and that crit damage is increased, it just feels better in my own experience than basically all other revolvers I have tested.

I love it because if you attach a lvl 5 kanetsugu sight on it you get +60% crit damage, which is significant. I would place it higher than archangel or crash, that’s for sure.

Rosco is a pretty damn badass revolver. when I play with it, enemies simply get stunned and fall to the ground in a very hilarious and stylish manner. and it takes a few seconds for them to get back up. basically it gives you plenty of time to reload and finish them off afterwards with a headshot.

Been playing with Rosco for a while. I think the first part of the description is more flavor text that anything. However, shooting most rank and file enemies below the knee does 9 times outta 10 make them trip, allowing you to then dome them and get the guaranteed crit.

12:15 Great video, but yes, you are reading Rosco all wrong First off, neutralize doesn’t mean kill, it means to make neutral; as in a non-threat. Yes, it can refer to kill, but technically it can be applied to non-lethal methods too. Second, I’ve done some play testing and the problem is the way Rosco’s effect manifests in-game. See, the follow up headshot is _not_ actually an instant kill; it just deals a massive amount of damage for a headshot. However, because it’s basically a one-time damage bonus, that means high level and high threat enemies at full health can potentially survive the headshot. It’s disappointing, but it must be this way to preserve gameplay balance. If it wasn’t, a Sandy-Rosco build would completely break the game by 2 shotting everything, including bosses.

Yeah the damage drop sucks. However it has a new utility thanks to patch 2.0. You can use the Comrades Hammer to do big Motorcycle Jumps. While riding a motorcycle, aim the Comrades Hammer a little bit in front of your front tire and the impact will cause your motorcycle to jump fairly high

My favorite revolver in this update is the Ol Reliable because of the perk because the longer the range the more damage you do. I love using this revolver while popping the Apogee Sandy from long range like a sniper. Then headshot them and insta kill them from long range.

Your timing is so good. I just started a deadeye build and picked up Gris Gris to try out automatic bolts. It seems like they thought about it, and even if you manage to land bolts, chain lightning lands only once a few shots.

For Comrade's Hammer, it has another hidden ability of sorts... that still doesn't make it worth using IMO, but here it is; equip it while riding a motorcycle, then shoot into the ground, you are now airborne, and can use this to just jump over regular cars or similar size obstacles. If you use motorcycles a lot (and doesn't everyone that don't mod the vehicle handling basically?) it may be worth just keeping in your inventory for that. Especially since you can so easily get sky-high carry capacity now with shards. Otherwise really good list and video, looking forward to the other weapon types!

Quasar has a nice bonus that wasn't mentioned in this video: as a handgun, it can be fired from a vehicle. You can head shot drivers straight through vehicles. Awkward angle? Armor instead of windows? No matter - just punch right through! This is a brilliant sidearm for a tech sniper, since you are already speccing into tech and cool for the neko rifle anyway, and it really is nice when driving!

My favourite is honestly the Mancinella, but that's because it makes encounters that much quicker due to the lingering stealth damage bonus. Pair it with Sandy and Nerves of Tungsten-Steel, and you get a hefty head start on kills, one- or two-shotting enemies until it wears off. Sometimes combat will cancel immediately and you get to do it again, and for longer fights you just swap to something else unless you care for the Poison damage.

Rosco's talent is cool in theory, but its actually useless since a well built gunslinger amnesty build will oneshot almost every enemy even on very hard (dont forget to stack headshot damage and crit damage on cyberware, even if crit damage is a pretty rare roll in my experience)

Laika with Alabai is absolutely devastating- a good strat is opening with ranged shots from laika from cover and then moving in with Alabai and mopping up already burning enemies with the benefit of increasing criticals. As a standalone I see the downsides but part of the pairings with the other drop weapons as you mentioned is satisfyingly broken.

You can also reaload comrade by dashing around, there is a perk that reloads midair.

I for most part prefer the old game. I liked the old skill trees better. But mainly the fact that you cant put a silencer on a revolver made them useless for me. Sure they still hit hard but when combat begins they are just too cumbersome to use or at least very fard to use effectively. The slow rate of fire and need to reload often is not useful. And the way they changed Commrades Hammer (weird explosin thing) and Widow Maker and Death and Taxes (both are now double shot and I hate that) makes all of them inferior to their normal version counterparts. And I would have loved to use the new power revolver that Hansen uses with a silencer. It looks very cool.

@@ExpertContrarian I wouldn't say everything is better in the old game but most. I absolutely love the exapnsion story. Also one big plus is that Kyubi is now very accessible and the Myers's variant and the XMOD-2 variants are very good inconic weapons and use them as my more agile silenced sniper, which I love to use. But more than that, I have had more charshes and all the textures load so much slower, so performancewise the old game run so much better.

I actually may have an idea why the Mancinella is suppressed. It could work like the Nagant revolver. Which have special rounds and pushes the cylinder against the barrel creating a seal of sorts that ,if you were to attach a suppressor to would make it far more quieter

The reason why Metal and its iconic variant is a revolver is because it's based off of the LandStad 1900 Automatic Revolver. It's a niche revolver that not many people know about.

Jackie's pistols are really good in the early game and then you can get the Seraph, which is excellent. The best, though, is the Pride. I got that midway through my playthrough and never found anything better.

Even if you side with Songbird, you can still get Kurt’s Revolver and LMG from the black maker vendor in the Arena if you missed looting it off his corpse, and while it’s pretty amazing with Fang, it still functions as a pretty decent Revolver on its own.

The first time I played cyberpunk, I was mainly a stealth build. The second time I just wanted to be a tank and it was fun with the comrade's hammer. But they released 1.6 during my playthrough. I was almost done with the playthrough with just the River storyline and the final mission left. And now, there is phantom liberty to play. I dropped the game after the nerf and I just picked it back up a week ago. With a couple of new perks, I still OSK so I am happy. And if i get overwhelmed, I just whip out my Sovereign.

Apparently Malorian Arms got buffed in 2.0, but it still feels too weak in comparison to how it is during the Johnny flashbacks. I feel if they gave it extra crit damage or more of a headshot damage multiplier it would be just as strong as it is during those flashback missions

I feel like Tech weapons in particular received serious nerfs with the update. Widowmaker used to be my favorite sniper rifle when playing in stealth hacker builds, and I would use it to take out enemies that I could locate through Ping, but were not visible through any cameras. Ping was also quite considerably nerfed, but thats a different topic.
