We know Olivia's tentacles can break trees in half and punch right through a pretty sturdy door and she pauses just to yank May's tray away. If you look frame by frame, she doesn't push it out of her hands or even touch May at all, actually. This establishes three things: 1) Liv has some amazingly fine control over her tentacles, she can turn on a dime or stop near-instantly to minimize collateral damage, and that's the kind of subtlety that makes her able to live two successful lives as both a "friendly neighborhood" scientist and Doc Ock. 2) May is not an acceptable target to Liv. Her house, sure, her gaggle of ducklings under her roof, definitely, but May is 100% off-limits. So in her own way, she cares

If anyone wants to know, Olivia's tentacles are most likely made out of 2DPA-1 plastic, a highly flexible and see through plastic that is twice as strong as titanium, but half the weight. Doc Ock's original tentacles were made of titanium. So Olivia managed to IMPROVE upon Otto's design. Not only are her's stronger, but due to the flexibility and weight she can be faster, grab, and do work much easier Edit: For anyone triggered, its a no brainer Ock's tentacles would be improved by another. For one, his tentacles were NOT supposed to be weapons originally, and were constructed only for science purposes. Two, Otto uses inferior metal and titanium is no longer considered the strongest metal or material for an invention like this. Three, Otto has improved his tentacles before, once even making new ones out of adamantium until magneto destroyed them. Four, this isn't the first time a woman has been Doc Ock. Serena Patel of the 2099 universe has an even MORE advanced tentacle invention made of nanofiber, a highly advanced nanotech in the 2099 universe

I think it's pretty cool that she only calls Peter B. Parker "Spider-man" once, the very first time she sees him. Once the mask comes off she ONLY calls him "Peter" for the rest of the movie. Usually I think it would. But Miles's shadow is a bit to the right, so the 'Octavius' part of the name might be hitting the wall but blocked from the "camera's" line of sight.

Something that I've noticed in my years of watching Spider stuff is that Doc Ock, in any incarnation, always had an extremely aggressive fighting style. Always putting pressure on the opponent. That's because, besides the arms, Otto or Liv,a are just normal humans. They take Spider punches as well as stained glass windows in churches take bricks. At 4:05, when Ghost Spider webs up her arms, all it takes is a pair of good smacks and Liv is an out cold Christmas ornament.

That's a good point. They can't afford to let a hit slip through. However, they've also got more stuff to throw at their opponents than most other people do. Due to the length and versatility of their 8 limbs, every Ock can afford to commit way more of their limbs to attacking than most humanoids could. Even Spidey rarely attacks with more than one limb at a time, because it'd be hard to defend himself and remain mobile without the other 3 limbs. But an Ock can throw at least 3 limbs into an attack (2 tentacles and a limb from their body) without compromising their stance or their defense. In fact, those 3 attacks could be totally different types of attacks, coming from totally different directions. So I guess that's the other reason why they can afford to stay on the offensive.

Otto in the comics is so mentally connected to his arms that he effectively has six eyes and six ears. One of the reasons Doc Ock is so hard for Spidey to fight is because Otto's own senses rival the Spider-Sense. Otto's sheer mental concentration and ability to multitask is also a result of his connection to his arms, making a lack of organization a non-issue. I assume that's also why Liv has an extremely messy desktop.
