In the finale, Derrick had 2 key errors in the entire meal that cost him the title: time & ingredient management. If you noticed, Derrick only made three plates of each course, not having a backup/test plate if things went wrong. Gordon pointed it out during the entrée round, and Christina's 'no' for her reply exploited the ingredient management issue he had. With the dessert round, not only did Derrick repeated the ingredient management issue, but on multiple fronts with it, too. Add the time management issue with the matcha sponge cake, and that was Derrick giving Claudia the win (Claudia was SMART to have restarted the flan portion of her dessert).

It also doesn’t take a genius to realize the preferential treatment she was getting on the show, I mean even some of the contestants pointed it out and those are just the ones that made it to the final cut. Finally the thing that most people seem to forget is that not only was a stripper but she was billed/on the payroll of the show itself which basically means she was hired as a dancer/stripper.

Who I think deserve the title from most to least in terms of performance: 1) Shaun (Won more individual challenges than anyone the entire season and he was never in the bottom aside being paired with someone else who literally passed out during their challenge. Everytime he cooked, he barely seemed to struggle and everyone was threatened by him the whole season.) 2) Christine Ha (She won 3 individual challenges and lead a team challenge to victory, all while legally blind. She was still able to bring out both great flavors and plating.) 3) Courtney (Hate her all you want to, but she can really cook. She was only in the bottom once or twice the entire season while winning 5 individual challenges. I feel like the judges were a bit biased towards her in some cases though.) 4) Luca (He was average in the beginning of the season, but started showing off midway. Jessie and Natasha had a better overall performance, but he had the most improvement and took what he learned to heart.) 5) Claudia (I really liked Claudia and her cooking abilities, but I believe that Derrick deserved the victory more than her. She only won one individual challenge on her own and didn't stand out much.) 7) Jennifer Behm (She was threatened with elimination more times than she won challenges. Out of all of the winners, she was the worst in terms of overall performance. I would have preferred Adrien winning, but I'm glad she at least took down Christian.)

This was the time in my life when I got meltdowns SUPER easily. In Season 6, two special events (and the finale) were ruined for me. On the 100th episode, my favorite competitor in that season was eliminated: Amanda. In the final five, when the season returnees came, the bottom two made it clear that I was never watching that episode ever again. I liked both Derrick and Katrina (Katrina more) but Katrina was eliminated.

Luca was great, funny and all. But the other chef deserves it more. Same with Canada's. Eric was a great chef but Kaila deserves it better. I'm just glad Jennifer Behm won over Adrien.

I don't think Natasha deserved the win more at all. She was talented yes, but her consistency was generally not constantly top level dishes. She could barely handle leading teams, was often rude and uncaring of other contestants and was arrogant even when she didn't excel. Luca had down moments but grew to be consistent and significantly stronger than Natasha. He was humble, kind and helped out others and still beat them on skill he always had.

Natasha did not deserve to win at all. Although a good cook, her attitude ruins everything for me. Luca is humble, kind, avoidant of conflict and eventually grew stronger throughout the competition, maybe even stronger than Natasha. Natasha is talented, but she is vain and abrasive, rude to other contestants, (i.e calling Luca weak and a joke, calling Bime a loser, rolling her eyes when other contestants win something) not really winner quality if u ask me. Btw, I do not think Jennifer deserved to be in the finale. Christian, although arrogant and childish, was constantly a front runner, better than any other chef in that season. He was robbed.

Oh my it's so rare to see someone credit Dino more than Luca and Christine. Although objectively speaking he's the best winner BY FAR. His real life experience in MC is a combination of Luca and Christine's "story" but even more compelling and powerful. It's a pity that his story is remained untold.

Not just his personality, but that he has actually overcome (possibly) greater adversities than Christine during the competition, and managed to deal with it single-handedly (even without mentioning his disadvantages). Plus he probably really is the nicest person to ever enter the show. The editing didn't do him much justice.

My favourite ever season from 1-8 is season 5. I loved so many people like Elizabeth, Courtney, Leslie, Ahran, Jaimee, Big Willie, and had a historic moment where Tyler accidentally cheated and I loved everyones story of being on Masterchef and overall had a very deserving winner. So many awesome moments in this season. My number 2 is Season 4 My number 3 is Season 3 And then number 4 is maybe Season 8 But my worst was maybe Season 6 because that season was ruined thanks to the judges picking Claudia. Yes she is good but Derrick deserved it far more.

Season 5 was very entertaining lol cuz of them dramas from aran, Leslie, Elizabeth... and Courtney was a solid chef throughout the whole season and deserved to win. Season 6 is no doubt stupid... boring and derrick's talent went to waste

Raksmey Han to be honest. I actually hate Christina for it. She is so fake and I honestly don't like her. She is part of the reason why I hated season 6 so much. You might not agree but I actually liked Joe more, he made the Masterchef serious very funny like when he owns Krissi, Cutter, and Christian. Christina on the other just outs Christopher too much, yes Christopher was very arrogant but she is so fake. Honestly I don't respect Christina as a judge. Shes just too annoying for me. Im sorry.
