Thanks for your support! You've listed some classics there, especially the D700 and the XT1/XT2. Very hard to choose today especially if you're willing to buy second hand (like I do). These days I choose the lens first, then pick up a camera that lets me use it. So I decided recently on the Canon 16-35 F4 for landscapes/architecture, and picked up a cheap Canon 6D on the used market. I'm not particular about brands - whatever gets me to the results I want is fine. Hope that helps!

@lensvana Thanks for your reply, that's a good way of doing it, lens first camera body after, I might just do that and see where that leeds me, thanks friend, I'll keep watching your content. Cheers.

so glad I found your channel. I'm looking for a camera I can go travel with that is somehow lightweight (hence me looking at APS-C mirrorless) and that have lightweight lenses. Here are my requirements though: - I do want to be able to take pictures with it (for Instagram and my Google photos mostly; and maybe small prints one day). - The main focus will be to be used to create videos with slow motion (4k60 would be great, but can leave with 4k30 if 1080p120). - Video crop factor can be a deal breaker, ideally I get the full lens experience and not a crop when shooting at 4K. - I can stabilise with gyro data in post the video files. Most sony cameras now embed gyro data in the files. - 10bit for video would be great as I like colour grading, but not necessary. I'm not on a budget, but I don't want to spend too much either. I was looking at the ZV-E10, A6400, A6700 and even considered the full frame A7C or ZV-E1; but couldn't believe the ZV-E1 had less megapixels than the ZV-E10. I'm not sure if you'd have an advise for me; if you don't that would be a great future video for you: What's the best Travel camera in 2023? :P

Thanks for watching :) It's great that you know your needs already. The a6700 seems like a perfect camera for this - 10-bit internal, 4K/60 uncropped (4K/120 with crop), stabilization, and of course plenty of resolution for large prints if you like. In your case I would pass on the a7C. Only 4K/30 and it's cropped, and the 1080p footage apparently "prone to aliasing" (dpreview). Great as a travel stills camera, but better options exist for the video-focused shooter. Check out "Brandon Li" KZbin channel - he's a full time travel videographer that shoots Sony. Lots of great tutorials and gear reviews there

@lensvana Жыл бұрын
I will make one next year, I don't think the situation has changed enough yet especially with recent price inflation
@fry_gaming Жыл бұрын
