Unfortunately you do because the torque converter actually goes lower than the bottom of the motor. It's only 20$ I think.

Great video. There is no shame with a 196. For what you paid for the Ducar, Flywheel, and carb I could have a more powerful 196 than your current Ducar. And I assume it just has a carb and header pipe. The Ducar would only have a bit more torque. But 0-45 my Coleman with a built 196 and torque converter would still outrun it. I have a built Predator 224 to compare to the built 196. Don't get me wrong. If I needed another engine, I would get the Ducar 224.

Well it's not even tuned and has stock valves, so I would kind of hope so brotha. it really all depends on how much money you want to sink into them. The 224cc + 24mm carb, exhaust and pvl 17k rpm flywheel was 340$ so about the price of a ghost and comes with more power AND a metal cam as opposed to the harbor freight 224s. And sure with a clutch you can make it go faster or by regearing, but I also go up hills I cant even walk up. The 196 can go really high in RPM it just depends on how much money you want to spend. I haven't ran one of these Ducar to the end of their life yet but I have ran a predator down pretty fast and these are already doing better. Hell personally I used to go even more expensive and get the tillotson 212s haha
