Same feelings , first time i watched Stargate movie i was 6 years , start the serie when i was around 8 years old but never finished it , on quarantine the watched all the movies and the SG-1 serie , it give me the same feelings like i was 6 years old kid , the exciting 😁

Don was always great fun at the UK conventions and he had great times with the fans. Over the years we seemed to share his life with him, including his divorce and some struggles with alcohol around the same time that he beat. He was very much how you would have expected him to be, somewhat larger than life and so many great stories to tell

When this series runs, I watch it with my father. He is over 70 years old now and he loves this series. If SG1 isn't running, we'll watch Stargate Atlantis together. I'm taking extra time to watch this show with him. For me one of the best scifi series. Of course I also like to watch other nostalgic series like McGyver, Magnum etc. All the old stuff that shaped my childhood. Good old television.

I always thought Ben Browder's character should've just been a team member while Carter became the leader of the team and the lead actor of the show. I liked Mitchell, but I like Carter more. Also funny how they added Claudia Black's character in the final intro with her being too late while walking through the gate.

It would have been better if Ben browder had joined in season 8. When richard dean anderson was still the star but had hammonds job. They needed an extra person on the team. But the way they did it Ben browder was his "replacement" as the star and I don't like that at all. The plan was to end with season 8 with Richard dean anderson still as the star of the show. If he hadnt wanted to leave or they just ended he never would have been replaced.

As memory serves, the first opening was used for all of season 1 through 3 during its run on Showtime. The openings featuring clips of the show were only used during syndication.

In the United States, SG-1 initially aired on Showtime for its first five seasons, with Sci-fi having syndication rights that specifically allowed it to rerun episodes six months after their premiere. (Eventually ShowTime decided that this arrangement wasn’t getting them enough new subscribers, so Sci-Fi became the series’ main broadcaster starting with season six)

I don't think we will ever get a blu ray release for sg1, when they released star trek the original series and the next generation on blu ray, they had to remake all the cgi and increase picture resolution, and it cost them a lot of money to do that and didn't make the money back, which is why the other 3 star trek shows aren't on blu ray, and it would be the same with sg1 it would cost them more money to convert the show onto blu ray and they won't make enough money back from blu ray sales

I grew up watching Stargate SG1, and Atlantis. SG1 9-10 felt like almost a different show, to the point they changed the wormhole sequence, and I think they should have ended SG1 with season 8 and done Mitchell's team as a separate show. Granted, I'm okay with how it turned out, but it just seems like the show lost something (more than just RDA ) after season 8. Griping aside, this show was my absolute childhood and I adore it.

The last version of the intro with coming up Vala is only in the last 12 episodes, the first 8 episodes of season 10 have the same intro but without coming up Vala in at the end. And I almost forgot the intro to "200". So there are actually 10 versions of the intro.
