Curved zoning and buildings is a DLC/update I would really love to see. Probably one of the most overlooked things about CS2 IMO.
@LongJourneys6 ай бұрын
would be cool if you could literally zone lots in the same way you create zones for like the industry areas and landfill (more like real life). But I also get that that could eat up memory really fast because instead of just keeping track of a set number of squares off of a road, you'd have to be keeping track of tons of little plot points for each lot. Maybe in 10 years or so.

Nice cul-de-sacs... maybe it's worthwhile sending the _Industry_ _Express_ along the central street with a stop midway on each side. Or even stops at each end to allow for transfers to/from the circular... just a thought.

Well I know of an area here called Oak Ridge and I know you can make tea from an Oak tree, so maybe Oak Tea Ridge? Or something with Oak Tea in it. Oak tea, which is made from oak tree leaves, has a flavor profile somewhere between green and black teas. It boasts a floral aroma and a sweet, woodsy taste1. If you enjoy the flavors of tea leaves or black tea, you might find oak tea intriguing! 🍵🌿

At 6:30, you don't need to draw those extra roads out to get what you wanted. When using the road tool with straight selection double click on the part of the road where you want to add that extra node to work as an end point for your upgrade. After that simply upgrade the section you were planning on.
@stephenclark99176 ай бұрын
To get to work the people in Hawthorn cul de sacs need to travel half a city away, in the wrong direction, from the jobs/industry to then catch the shuttle and come back to pass where they started. Add some stops to the shuttle.

@FreakyFerret6 ай бұрын
At 37:12, if he added the industry shuttle to the 2 stops in the center of the screen (by the copied apartment complex), that would solve the problem. People can take the Red or Yellow line to get to those stops, then go the Industrial. Returning would be the same. Need a crosswalk at the area as well. Bus lines stay the same length, but now people can minimize their ride time.

Not sure if you know Biffa, but it you want to upgrade just a section of road, instead of drawing out from where you want the upgrade to start, just double click and it will add a new node to the road. It's not a huge change but then you don't need to delete a piece of road later, plus you use this tip when you already have buildings zoned.

For a suggestion to change Hawthorn Junctions name. In Boston, Lincolnshire there is a primary school named "Hawthorn Tree School" that I used to go to when I was a child (5-6 years old). You could name the district "Hawthorn Tea" as a sort of reference to the school (if you ever add a primary school in, it could adopt the very name its self).
@SavageDiffguy6 ай бұрын
Teakwood Springs "Teak" combines elements of "tea" and "oak," while "wood" relates to trees in general, including oaks. "Springs" adds a sense of a natural, serene environment. In general I think it's a great name for a suburb.
