When you get off white sugar, sugary drinks, processed foods, you can begin to listen to your body tell you what it needs. There are times I have an irresistible craving for kale so I know there's something in it my body is needing. For a while I was craving shrimp and sardines and couldn't seem to get enough of them,. Turned out, I was low on zinc and omega 3. Other times, I craved beef and was low on B vitamins. You really can't determine these things if you're stuck on the Standard American Diet, full of carbs and sugars because that's all you will crave, carbs and sugars. I'm glad to know that all of these greens provide so much nutrition and I can better pinpoint just what my cravings are telling me that I need.

Great video - it shows that the other vegetables still had some vitamins and minerals higher - therefore it is always a great idea to swap them around giving you an amazing profile of vitamins, minerals and omegas. You should also swap them around, especially if juicing them, as all greens are slightly poisonous, that's why the animals eat a variety of greens/grass to avoid this. Go the Kale !!! The poisons are a natural survival defense mechanism of the leafy greens.

In retrospect I am not very surprised because...at least here near the southern tip of africa kale will grow well in acid sandy soil where many nutrients are unavailability not available but chard needs a much better soil....neutral loam . Chard has incredibly deep roots and will survive where most other plants dont. It would be interesting to put your figures in perspective by adding an appropriate % of average humans daily requirements. Super video. Thanks so much. Go well.

Fantastic video, thank you. I had no idea kale had such a punch. I'd like to suggest doing another on Beet leaves, I've heard they are loaded, maybe compare with arugula and purple kale? Also I'd 2nd the vote for cilantro, love to see how it stacks up against say parsley and oregano or thyme or dill. You could make several videos on this.. Well thanks again, you rock! Keep em coming...

Such an awesome and informative video!!! I really appreciate the effort that you made, to educate us viewers! I am also curious about Cilantro. I was once told that it is more of a "SUPER FOOD" than kale, but I'm not sure how reliable the source was. 🤔 ... Thanks again for sharing all of your wonderful videos, and knowledge, with us! God bless you! 🙏🏻😎👍🏻🌹

Would have been good to have included nitrates. That is why I eat them -- you need nitrates in your diet to help keep nitric oxide levels high.

Although kale has more calcium than spinach, it has far less oxaltes than does spinach, so anyone who wants to reduce the risk of kidney stones, kale is a much better choice than spinach. Beet greens are also high in oxalates, but not as high as spinach. Another green low in oxalates besides kale is arugula.

Have you ever tried Red or Green Malabar Spinach? It’s a tropical green actually not spinach but loaded with vitamins, minerals and nutrients in staggering proportions. I grew the Red from seeds which started slow but took off after a couple weeks in a larger planter with a trellis set up. Delicious and very beautiful frost sensitive but will be wintering in my southern double windows on a plant shelf.

Kale is tasty when sautéed lightly in butter, garlic& add some bell peppers for sweetness. I typically get baby Kale ; much better than the mature one which is not that tasty 😋!!!
