@@carterfrost4138 Thank you, Carter. I only know him through some of the memories over time, and what my mom told me about him. As odd as it sounds, when I was a child, I didn't entirely believe in heroes. Oh I knew my dad was, but, it wasn't until I grew older did I truly accept them. I'm now older than my father was when he died. Semper fi.

There are so many great moments. What about when he was talking to Iceman and Ice asked him who was the better pilot? "This is a nice moment. Let's not spoil it!"" Then they both laugh. Rarely is the sequel better than the original but I think this is one that is.

The military was fine in the 90s. It went off the rails when the yes-men of the late '00s started moving into the General ranks. Their policies are why the military is struggling today.

Over the years my appreciation of Tom has just grown and grown. To my mind, he has become the greatest movie star of recent times - surpassing Harrison Ford. I'm not talking about the greatest actor but the greatest movie star i.e. someone who can sell a film just by being in it, a genuine A-lister. Having said this, I might go as far as to say he's a brilliant actor as well, and, by all accounts, a great too. His talent is so deep that he can do villains, heroes, physical comedy, dancing, everything but sing (and I wouldn't be very surprised if he can do that too as learning to sing is routine for actors). Just writing this comment various films of his spring to my mind in which his roles have been incredibly diverse. It's a real shame that he is relatively short or he could even have landed the role of James Bond. He'd have made it work anyway but he'd never have got it.

Wow! I wish I'd experienced that. Until I read your comment, I'd forgotten that films are made to be experienced on the big screen. Example, Jurassic Park on the big screen was genuinely frightening in parts and made me cry out at one point; and the part with the frill lizard made most of the cinema leap out of their skin. When we watched it again on the small screen, it felt like a big disappointment, an entirely weaker experience. In light of your words, considering that when I watched Maverick on the small screen and found it sensational, practically leaning left and right in my seat in suspense, I can only dream of what I would have felt watching it as you did. I haven't enjoyed a movie as much as Maverick for decades.

At 0:27 what are we to make of Hangman's expression? Everyone else is tense and fascinated to see if Mav can do it but Hangman settles back with a smile and folds his hands. Given his extremely cock-sure attitude, I can't tell if he's supposed to be expecting Mav to fail and can't wait to see it or if he is supposed to be confident that Mav *will* succeed and he is settling back to enjoy watching 'the master' at work. Having watched it again more closely Hangman's expression and single word - "Damn!" tell me that he was supposed to be waiting for Mav to fail and was genuinely impressed when he didn't.

The whole aerial fight scene with Mav/Rooster in the F-14, and the "baddies" in SU-57's, all the way through to Hangman blasting the SU-57 Pilot and saving Mav and Rooster, those moments will always be some of the best ever in cinema! To this day they still give me goosebumps and a knot in my throat! I even do a big-time fist pump!!! Great f'n movie!!!!

So, they stole the F-14 from the ground, so odds are it wouldn't actually have a tailhook. To land on the carrier they'd need to deploy the barrier. I'm probably the only one who finds that interesting.

Amazing! - In order to get to 15g+ your blood system needs to work when heart is stopped. In order to reach it, you need to change adapting of heart and organs with specific shifting them by trainings changing morphing processes in your body. It is not that good to prolong with resistence, as it forms topology making not that efficient turbulence. While it can be present because of straining. - Trainings must include rotations of hands, legs (changing of position of feets), shifting of waistline, changes of endurance of legs for short amplitude work with weights. It may bring weakness of heart if you have a lot of damages. So be aware. ;-)
