That was fun. Your parents' house is fabulous. Pine floors, big vases, Christmas cactus, sculptures and beautiful rugs. If it was a bed and breakfast I would visit. Now we know where you got your style.

Thank you! My parents have spent years curating it into what it is now. I’m so proud of them. It’s been a loooong journey. And yes, everytime I stay there, I also feel like I’m at a bed & breakfast (complete with the breakfast 😉)

We as a society do not talk about White Oleander enough! Hearing you mention it makes me want to reread it now, it certainly made an impact on me as a teen.

RIGHT??? That book basically formed me. I remember writing short stories that were basically adaptations of WO and trying to claim minimal influence lol. I might read it again soon. Summer!

Great trivia about August Osage County. The playwright, Tracy Letts, played the part of "The Counterguy" in "The Strike" episode of Seinfeld in 1997 (Season 9 Episode 10). It wasn't until 11 years later that he won the Pulitzer for Drama and the Best New Play Tony Award in 2008.
