I own a 09 Jetstream Blue ZR1. I have owned 25 Corvettes in the last 25 years. The seats in my 09 ZR1 are fantastic and the best of all the other Corvettes. I don't go to the track but for just regular driving they are great!

Superb ZR1 collection!!! I share some interest in one of your Vettes. Owning a 2012 GS in "Supersonic Blue", I’m under the impression that this color is somewhat particular; under full sun, it appears as a much lighter blue tint, while on cloudy days it looks like a deeper, more subtle blue. At sunset, it takes on a much darker shade of blue. Getting the impression of having three flavours under one candy 🙂

I have an 09 Atomic Orange Z06, and absolutely love it! About five years ago I was able to put my eyes on an Atomic Orange ZR1 in Vancouver. Made me drool even more. Good luck finding one. Took me four years to find my 09/Z06. Love your video! Beautiful collection!!!!

Can't replace those memories. Absolutely worth driving to get the car and road tripping it back home. I bet it was a blast with your son. My wife and I travel across the country often. Never had to pick up a car across the country though. Sounds like fun.

I fell in love with ZR1s when I was 16….. back in 1990. I choose education as a career, so these C6 ZR1s are out of my range (with three kids in college). I have a 2009 Atomic Orange Z06, which is a beast. Love your collection, especially the Inferno Orange and Carlisle Blue. Corvettes at Carlisle is where my dad and I finally made a connection. Just wish I had bought the Z06 before he passed. Make those memories with your kiddos, they will appreciate it.

There were also changes in the traction control on the ZR1’s: launch control and PTM performance traction management.I don’t know about these because both of my ZR1’s are 2009’s. GM upgraded Traction control into the 2010 on all manual corvettes. The ZR1 2010 received the PTM.

I’m 19 right now and my dream car is a C6 ZR1. My dad has a murdered out bone stock C7 Z06 full 3LS package etc so I want to get a fully loaded C6 ZR1 in the next few years. Personally, the rare colors would be cool if I could get one of those but I’m good with any bone stock ZR1 as long as it comes bone stock because I would like to build both of them how I choose to.

I wanted a ZR1, but bought a 2012 Inferno Orange Metallic (1 of 89 for 2012) GS A6 3LT convertible with mag ride -- it is now modified A & A V3, BTR blower cam, full headers, high flow cats, but I retained the NPP for traveling quietness. Makes 595 rwhp, so I put 345's on the rear. I quit at the 700 HP level because I wanted to keep the A6 in one piece and where I live, I have to feed it anemic 91 octane fuel anyway. I keep seeing people put 800, 900, 1200, or more HP and it's hard to believe that they find traction. Punch it at 100 and mine seeks traction as the rear dances trying to get a grip and it pulls hard... so, I have a great car with slightly more than ZR1 power, great brakes, fun handling, and a blast to drive.. I'll be 70 next summer and thinking of a C8, but I live in the flat Midwest and can't think of a good reason to sell off my car for a mid-engine one.. beautiful collection!.. love that 2013 ZR1 you have.. great color!!

Poor sales go for all hi performance sports cars for all manufacturers. It goes with the territory because all hi performance sports cars are inherently impractical. Considering the performance per dollar, the ZR1 was a bargain compared with several other vehicles costing twice as much for the same level of performance. What do you drive?

It's because the seats are that much junk. It's also exacerbated by seats existing in the GM lineup that are really really good (the 09+ V2 CTS-V Recaro based seats). You'd think for this flagship sportscar GM would have made the Recaro (or some other vendor connection) like they did with the CTS-V. It is a show stopper? Clearly not - at least not for me. But when you own a CTS-V and a ZR1 it's just one of those things that screams WTF.
