I’ve owned plenty of c6 vettes. Tint the windshield. Helps a ton. Even 50-70% ceramic helps a ton cooling the car down. Get a windshield sun shade to protect the dash from peeling up. Also the tunnel gets super hot. The cup holders are like cup warmers just from the exhaust traveling through the center tunnel. They’ll melt a candy bar they get that hot lol Otherwise they’re awesome cars. I love my c6 over all the other generations and I’ve driven them all. Congrats on the buy you’ll love it.

I used to work at a tint shop and can verify this post. Some people think the sun strip on the windshield is enough. WRONG. Any window that does not have tint is letting the suns heat into the car. Every window needs to be tinted. And yes, you want CERAMIC tint, specifically ask for ceramic. Ceramic helps to block the heat from passing thru the film. My recommendation: 50% on windshield, 20% on front side windows, and 5% on all the back windows behind the driver/passenger. I dont recommend 5% on the front 2 windows unless you are experienced driving with tint, or unless you want maximum privacy. Driving at night with the front 2 at 5% can be extremely dangerous to see out of, other cars to the side of you, making turns, or seeing pedestrians.

Congrats on the zr1 Alex! I have a c6 zo6 and the trans tunnel getting hot is just a c6 thing. Yes no phones in the center console and only drink you put in the cup holders is coffee so it will stay hot lol. Can’t wait to see the videos coming up on the car.

I lined the inside of my C6Z tunnel with heat shield it helps and I'm in Phoenix so... one thing great is this car has the best fastest cooling AC I've ever had in any vehicle

They have heat kits for the center console. Had one in my C6 and helps ALOT. Do a couple pulls and put your hand between the seat and tunnel,lol. They also have a kit for the torque tube plate. The plate sits between the exhaust and torque tube underneath you. They have heat blankets for that which pretty much elimate the problem all together.

That torque feeling is also there when you come out of a mustang and then drive a NA camaro just to a lesser degree to what you have. Nice car, looking forward to future content.

Not all mustangs have low torque down low like coyotes the older gt500s and 03-04 cobras have badass torque depending on what kind of blower you're running and the overall setup but they're torquey by nature ecsp the 07-14 gt500s.
