That was actually the only moment I actually felt he was a villain. In all the other moments I either felt sorry for him because it was obvious life hadn't been so kind to him growing up or I was amazed by his intellect and psychological insights during the dialogues.

Cesar, that's where you and I just completely 100 percent have to agree bro. Seriously! It's that particular laugh. It too is by far as well the most haunting laugh of his, in my opinion. Before the swat arrest him and before his last little cackle, that laugh with him at 1:17 just sounds so demonic. That laugh for me made it very clear that that was the true inner monster living inside the Joker. That laugh has to indeed be the scariest and most chilling of them all. He was always in a joking kind of setting and/or vibe, with his previous laughs, but with this one.. this one is different. That was a real supervillain's laugh.

Would make sense as Bane uses strength and has plans (his 3rd line in the movie is “it doesn’t matter who we are, what matters is our *plan*” Joker hates the schemers, and as seen in the interrogation room in TDK he doesn’t care about strength
