@@group3-oralcom.stagas11-ar3 seriously man, are you an idiot? for one, if Aku dies in the past then he never sends Jack into the future, the entire SERIES never happens, and Jack never meets or connects with Ashi anyway. because even if there was a Jack sent forward there'd be no Aku or Ashi in that future. meaning it's all a damn paradox regardless and this ending makes no sense. I can forgive that to an extent, but the issue here is rather than just... you know, dying instantly because she was erased by the paradox, she dies far later because.... error 404. literally no reason... TLDR, Gendy liked Gurren Lagann so he ripped off its ending wholesale regardless of how little sense it made for Samurai Jack.

Bothering to keep them alive while they fight back is hard enough as it is, specially outnumbered like that, now even if he managed to capture them all, carrying them and feeding them and keeping them from escaping is much less reliable than doing it to just one. Worse of all now. Convincing them, terrible odds. Ѕмσl и' Ѕαlту This plot hole would be fixed if you apply the alternate timeline theory, but that would mean that Ashi wouldn't have faded away, unless she was sustained by Aku's presence for some reason. That is unlikely, since, earlier, she felt his presence leave. This would also mean there is another, rather confused Samurai Jack stuck in a future without Aku, probably modern day. This Samurai, who likely isn't called Jack, would have no idea any of this ever happened, unless he reads about it in ancient scrolls written by the alternate version of himself. My reason is that the paradox may have caused the timeline to split when Jack went back. So there’s a timeline where Aku is still ruling everything, and one where he’s dead and Jack is living with Ashi. Maybe they went back to the future after and killed him in that timeline, or neither of them bothered since Jack and Ashi thought he was dead, and Aku is just happy Jack is out of the picture.

I know it still wouldn't be a HAPPY ending but personally I would have liked them to do a time loop. Let me explain: Ashi and Jack get married, have kids, the world lives on in relative peace for a couple thousand years, Jack/Ashi fade into obscurity possibly are forgotten all together. Time jump to one of their VERY DISTANT decendants sitting in a hospital holding a small bundle. Doctor asks "have you decided on a name?" We see a healthy smiling baby grab her finger "Aku" the woman replies. Fade to black with distant echo Aku laugh. The implication (and possible spin off) being that something ATROCIOUS happens to make happy baby Aku SNAP and decide he needs to go back in time to change the future by exerting his will over the progression of humanity/technology/history. Aku goes back, Jack suffers, Ashi is born, Aku dies, Ashi/Jack live happily ever after, Aku is born, rinse and repeat. Without Jack AND Ashi Aku's blood line never exists. It's a vicious cycle but Jack/Ashi technically DO GET their happy ending... For a price...

The finale was so disappointing for me. Ashi and Jack do have the potential to be an interesting couple with alot in common, but none of their similarities were acknowledged. They're both socially awkward outcasts who have been sheltered from the world in a very dramatic way, because of Aku, they're both awkward as hell inherently because of the environments they live in, they could really work together! Yet on screen it was all poorly-done fanservice that was horny as hell, and then awkwardness between them, and then they were married, and then she fucking dies. I'm not even gonna mention the fact Ashi was a child by the time Jack had already been an adult for years, frozen in time or not that shit is creepy! They didn't even have to make Ashi that young in the flashback, they made her a child to try and induce more drama from it. So basically, Jack loses every friend he made in the bad future timeline, he loses his lover who he spent no time getting to know, nevermind GIVING HER TIME TO MAYBE REGISTER THE FACT HE KILLED ALL HER SISTERS, and he rejoices with his parents but we see NO emotional interaction from it. They don't even talk to Jack, and not even Ashi. What the fuck happened to this series after the first couple episodes?

I wish all daughters of Aku didn’t have to died. They’re victim of Aku Brainwashed, i was hoping they didn’t have to died. They’re deserved the second chance to live a new life and redemptions. I can’t stand it in the series so much blood of innocence shedding for others wrong and ignorance. I’m rejected the killing and executing, everyone deserves a Life and New beginning, it’s death and violence the only way to solve everything between human being and everyone. I think the bed head daughter had the naginata because you could obviously tell how she was trained in the first episode along with the others. The two with the wolverine hairstyle and the dot from animaniacs hair got speared because they needed help in the first episode too. Or the banged one could have gotten speared instead of the wolverine haired because look how she was trained xciv. The wolverine haired could have had the kanabo because she ducks and jumps instead of moving out of the way. Another obvious factor is that you can see the daughter of aku with the buttercup looking hair having the two butterfly swords while they were on their final training test in xcii

The Daughters of Aku were yet another sign of how badly handled Season 5 was. Even putting aside the colossal can of worms that Ashi was, the rest of the Daughters are one big cluster of headscratching and wasted opportunity. For the first few episodes, we get all this buildup about them. They were born to a mad cult leader, raised from birth to be as equal to Jack as possible, and grew up into merciless killing machines... but we also saw snippets of humanity in them. We saw how they asked their mother questions about the world and how they bonded with each other to survive her abusive training. We saw how they went through literal torture from early childhood; it seemed to anybody watching that they were going to be prominent characters - episodic bosses, perhaps. That was an exciting prospect: maybe some would remain evil and others would join Jack's side. Maybe they'd all have different specialized techniques, like the Ultrabots did. Maybe we'd see them fight each other and their bonds and characterizations would come into play. And then Jack kills one of them; that was some heavy shit. That was the first human he'd ever killed (Well, not really, but I think a little retconning is acceptable if it leads to a better story.). That added his own subplot into the mix; now he knows they're human and has good reason to try and help them. Now he has a weakness that can be exploited: his own good nature, which the good Daughters and the evil ones can react to in different ways. One episode later, and he kills 5 of them without really feeling bad about it at all. Oh. Okay. I get that it's self-defense, but if they were just there to die, why characterize them at all? If the idea is that they're all supposed to be as strong as Jack, wouldn't only a few of them be enough? And if the idea is that 7 of them were needed to overwhelm him, how does he kill 6 of them so easily? Yeah, he got trashed in their first fight, but then in the rematch he wrecks their shit with relative ease - no cybernetic arm enhancement, no new training, no enchanted armor or magical jewels, he just kind of uses moves and strategies he already had and suddenly roflstomped them. It really doesn't make sense why they were in the story at all if everything about them was so easily and abruptly brushed aside just for the sake of setting up a romance subplot.

The ending makes no sense. If Ashi never existed, Jack could have never returned to his time to kill Aku, but that would mean if Aku never died, Ashi would still exist and would have brought Jack back to to his time to kill Aku, and a paradox is created. The ending should have been either Ashi still existing, or Jack going back to the future as soon as he killed Aku.

@Ronin.Samurai5 жыл бұрын
armorheadallan no it makes perfect sense. By killing aku in the past, he erased all of his timeline including Ashi. Ashi existed because of aku. He erased her timeline by killing aku in the past. It’s called a time paradox
@armorheadallan4 жыл бұрын
@@Ronin.Samurai But the whole reason Jack is even in his appropriate time in the first place is because Ashi was able to send Jack back in time. If Ashi was erased from the timeline, Jack would have no means to travel back his time and could not kill Aku before he takes over the world, meaning that Ashi would still exist and Aku would still rule. The part that makes no sense is that how is Jack still in the past and experiencing the new timeline he has created if Ashi never existed to take him back in time to kill Aku in the first place?
@Ronin.Samurai4 жыл бұрын
armorheadallan it’s called a time paradox. If you can’t understand the simplicity of this, you have mental issues
@armorheadallan4 жыл бұрын
@@Ronin.Samurai I believe you are mistaken for what a paradox is and who is mentally deficient in this exchange. I suggest you know what a paradox actually is and how it works before you say something as childish as that. Allow me to explain. A paradox is a logical contradiction that disrupts the theory of traveling backwards in time. And there are two main types, Causality Loop, and The Consistancy Paradox. Causality Loop is a future event that causes a past event to occur which in turn causes the future event. They exist in the same timeline but one event cannot exist without the other. The show is not using this version of paradox because Jack's actions in the last episode completely change the course of history and does not at all lead the future Jack finds himself in at the beginning of the series. The second paradox theory related to time travel is called the Consistancy Paradox, also known as the Grandfather Paradox. This theory suggest that changing the past in anyway creates a contradiction in the flow of time thus making it impossible to change the past. If you go back in time to kill your grandfather, you could never be born to go back in time to kill your grandfather, so the both of you would still exist if you traveled to the past of not. Under this theory, a time traveler can ONLY do what DID happen in the past, but CAN'T do anything that DIDN'T happen in the past. This is the type of paradox the show is trying to use but it fails to use it properly. The reason it isn't used properly is because Jack didn't defeat Aku the first time around. So Aku takes over the world and throughout those events, Ashi was born and eventually sends Jack back in time to finish what he started. But if Jack defeats Aku in the past, that creates a contradiction in time as Jack (the time traveler) defeated Aku (something that DIDN'T occur in the past originally) and prevents him from taking over the world and prevents Ashi (the means for Jack to travel back in time in the first place) to ever exist. Making the timeline Jack creates in the end of the series impossible to take place and for Jack to experience. The reason he was able to change the past was because of his initial failure to defeat Aku, but if he defeats Aku through the means of time travel, he would have no way to travel back to create that event and future. Under this theory, Ashi being wiped from time is correct but Jack staying in the past and living his new future in not. What I think the show SHOULD have used instead is the Multiverse theory. Creating a separate universe and timeline by traveling back in time and does not affect the timeline which Jack originally came from. With this theory, Jack can still defeat Aku, can still create a peaceful, Aku-free future, AND Ashi could STILL be alive as her true origins were never disrupted. The timeline of Aku ruling the world would still exist, but would never interact with the new time Jack has created as he created a parallel timeline and universe that does not at all affect the original universe in which the events of the series took place. Creating a cohesive narrative and a satisfying ending. There, you now know partially the complications of time travel and should understand why this ending makes no sense.

The way I see it. If the Scotmans magic sword could bring himself back as a ghost, then by that logic a more powerful magic sword could have done even more for Jack. In that, it could have brought Ashi back fully time paradox be damned. As reward for Jack ending Aku.
